RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Poor AB's right there. Gose's terrible at bat might've been a game changer. Get another 4-5 pitches out of him... All of a sudden he's over 80 pitches... Maybe lasts one more inning. Now he's almost guaranteed to throw two more. He was hoping to catch a first pitch fastball, and he did, but broke his bat.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Is Reyes f***ing serious? you act like the entire league isn't striking out on that pitch...that splitter is ridiculous. You just need to trust your brain and not your eyes...you almost have to commit to taking the pitch in that situation.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Gose is a terrible base stealer. Horrible instincts. He built his reputation in the low minors. He's a garbage base stealers against legit pitchers/catchers. He really does have bad instincts.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Dont swing if it is low....its not hard, just take every pitch thats looks like its at the knees. Tanaka will eventually adjust but he would be out of the game due to pitch count
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 lol Seitzer is great, he destroyed the umpire in that interview
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Wicked splitter with a wicked ump calling low strikes. Just not fair...Reyes cant lay off. hard for anyone. he swung at a ball in the dirt, if the ump calls that then pack it in for the night. Nothing you can do

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 f*** off Yankees and fouling balls off.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Maybe he's trying to gauge guy's moves? He's not doing a very good job.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 he swung at a ball in the dirt, if the ump calls that then pack it in for the night. Nothing you can do The pitch is designed to do that so you can't hit it...
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 This happens every series against the Yankees. Just can't put guys away.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Classic Yankees right here. Fouling off pitches, working the counts. Love this s***. It's so effective.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Dont swing if it is low....its not hard, just take every pitch thats looks like its at the knees. Except the ump has been calling pitches well below the knees as strikes...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Oh Buck, I'm sure Jeter and Gardner were talking about something short and hard, but it wasn't a cutter.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Tanaka's splitter is so good and he'll throw it probably twice in any given at bat. You got to just guess sometimes and start your swing lower than the ball and hope you square it up. You will look foolish on a fastball though, but sometimes you got to roll the dice. Reyes looked looked like he saw fastball on every splitter, completely unacceptable at this level.
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 He's not doing a very good job. He would have had a SB if Reyes didn't swing at that breaking ball.
orpheus Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The pitch is designed to do that so you can't hit it... Yeah but you almost have to say you won't swing, he is almost always going to it when guys have 2 strikes, take your chances it's not a strike, usually is not. tough though when the ump is a moron.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Stroman needs to get through 5 innings
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 This happens every series against the Yankees. Just can't put guys away. Stroman's slider isn't really hitting and his change up has been suspect.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Dammit back to Sportsnet WTF
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 YES feed! Rejoice! That wasn't YES, that was something called my9 ... Wtf was that?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Just between two batters Stroman has thrown 23 pitches....thats 1/4 of his total pitches....I consider that just being unlucky
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Jenkins will probably need to start the 5th. Fantastic ABs from the Yankees. Wow.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 C'mon Stromanator (Damn, I'm trademarking that).
