Jays: After tossing seven scoreless innings in his previous outing, Hutchison lasted a season-low three innings Sunday against St. Louis and allowed five runs and six hits in a 5-0 loss. It was another poor performance at home for Hutchison, who is 1-3 with an 8.72 ERA in Toronto compared to 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA in eight road starts. Jose Bautista has reached base safely in 65 of 68 games, hitting safely in 51 of those contests Toronto's offense, hasn't been nearly that productive lately, scoring nine runs and batting .208 while losing five of six. Orioles: Jimenez, who ranks among the major league leaders with 40 walks in 70 innings and is 0-5 with a 7.04 ERA in six home starts, turned in his shortest start of the season, lasting 2.1 innings and yielding six runs and five walks. Machado entered Wednesday hitless in his last 15 at-bats. Pearce entered Wednesday's game with a .314/.352/.523 slash line in 86 at-bats this season. The Orioles, are batting .313 with runners in scoring position during a 12-game span and lead the majors with 17 homers in June. They are batting a major league-best .287 with runners in scoring position this season. Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Hopefully we see bad Ubaldo tonight.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 All I ask is that we don't concede a two-run HR in the first inning. Let's get the lead and not look back! Go Jays Go!
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 All I ask is that we don't concede a two-run HR in the first inning. Let's get the lead and not look back! Go Jays Go! Queue the three run HR.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I am of the mindset that this slump will get worse before it gets better. We were going way too good for too long, things have to be evened out. Bautista has been horrible against Ubaldo
RickyWalks Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Jimenez had been s*** but he'll beat the s*** out of us.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 They will tee off against Hutch #ReverseJinx
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Ubaldo might be exactly what the Jays bats need to see. He has horrific control.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 No excuses tonight. Ubaldo is a gas can.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Lots of positive comments thus far
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Hutch needs to pitch a good game tonight. He's been rocky his last few outings (minus the game against DET)
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 As a novice Is a high BABIP good or bad, relative to batting average. I am being sencere i dont know
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 ^ Because the Orioles commentator just said high is good
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Be nice to hit double digit runs
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Get on Ublado tonight. End this s*** tonight.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 As a novice Is a high BABIP good or bad, relative to batting average. I am being sencere i dont know High BABIP means the batter is overly lucky
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 As a novice Is a high BABIP good or bad, relative to batting average. I am being sencere i dont know There is no good or bad BABIP. League average is around .300. BABIPs usually regress back to that. So if a guy has a .250 BABIP, it's probably gonna go up, and if he has a .360 BABIP, it's probably gonna go down. It's a measure of sustainability.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 High BABIP means the batter is overly lucky So its bad.
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 There we go! That's what I like to see.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 High BABIP means the batter is overly lucky Be careful saying lucky. They may have legitimately been hitting the ball well enough to carry a high BABIP, but it probably isn't sustainable. Sustainability =/= luck.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 GREAT AB Reyes Keep it moving Melky. Jimenez is a f***ing bum.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 f*** yes. Put up like 5 this inning please. LETS GO
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 The runner HAS TO SCORE on this at bat Jose. Do not f*** this up.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Good Start Good Start Lets get a few on the board
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Looking good so far... 2+ runs this inning would be nice
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Orioles commentrator just called Jays Rays
