our discipline has been very unlike what we showed during our hot stretch. We were forcing pitchers to come at our guys and getting into high pitch counts pretty much every game. Hughes is averaging like 13 pitchers per inning right now

The pitching has been terrible, I don't think that's an overreaction.

 

Not even close to accurate. Do you watch much baseball ? I don't see any 15-9 or 18-10 games happening, but I do see them in the morning box scores. It's now 2-0 in the 5th. If Stroman can get a few outs, he gets another quality start ( in fact, most of our starters are doing so regularly ). Calling the pitching "terrible" is an overreaction. With our offence matching their average pace, we'd be either 4-2 or 5-1 in this set of games.

I believe I read statistically that lefties get screwed on outside pitches much more than righties

 

Thanks, that's what my eyeball test makes me believe, especially after watching guys like Loup and Janssen set up a f***ing lemonade stand out there vs lefties.
