i would keep gose over pillar. honestly both of their bats are pretty terrible regardless of the matchup. at least gose can bunt and steal bases, pillar is an above average base runner but nothing special.

Pillar is decent against LHP but Goes brings more to the table in overall skillset IMO.

There is a lot of value in a guy who can consistently take the ball every 5th day.

 

If we signed him a few years ago for 3/30 (or whatever he got) I'd be pretty pleased with what we've gotten from him. The expectations were just too high from the start.
