Yep O's need to lose.

The best part is the game is on Sportsnet tonight.

This team just keeps me saying Wow a lot this year! But for good reasons not bad like last year!

Again raise your hands any of you really thought they where gonna sweep detroit like they just did? Wow! Mind blown! Thank you Jays! :) Happy Happy Happy! Let the good times roll Ed.... Let the good times roll! :)

I was pretty close then I realized Dickey might get shot to the moon; glad I was wrong.

Also to be noted, we are getting the bottom of the rotation from Cardinals - no Wainwright or Wacha. #phew.

Looks like Stroman v. Lynn, Buerhle v. Miller, & Hutch v. Garcia.

The third one of the series, Sunday, might be epic.

It sure seems like this year is different; past teams would have folded and been happy with taking 2 of 3, but this years squad is laying the hammer down and finishing off sweeps. I thought once they lost those two to the Royals, things would come back to earth, but the Jays picked things right back up and are playing like a real contender.

Welcome scenario: Happ goes 15-7, AA picks up his option and trades him in the offseason for something nice.

Happ gonna get 3 year extension at this rate

Looooooooooooooong winning streaks

Love it

And welcome to the board

Was at the game, great day of baseball

- Happ was good - 2 run inning - couple of doubles, tough landing spots for Melky's speed - overall located well

- was likely done in 5th IMO but 3 run 6th kept him in the game

- something happened to the tigers after the dropped Bautista ball...tsn turning point

- good teams seem to have luck fall their way - any game could've gone to the tigers - jays just playing well right now

- pillar with great speed in left

- waiting for adversity to hit this team & see how they respond...but perhaps this offense will not slow down - scary to think of this lineup with Rasmus as #8-9

- watching Gose hit today - less inclined to suggest trading rasmus if a 3 way is possible - and with his right handed bat, perhaps it's pillar that stays up when Rasmus returns

Good stuff. I'd just say that they've already faced some adversity and I liked the way they responded. Remember, they blew quite a few games within a 2 week span. In fact, when they blew the 2nd game against the Pirates on May 3rd, they fell to 13-17. Since then, they've gone 24-7. I think that shows some resiliency.

I was praying for 2/3. But to have Happ beat a steeply declining Verlander is like Christmas.

cardinals this weekend followed by twins & then @ Camden yards...hoping they go into Baltimore playing well & win the series...

Hoping they sweep the O's and shut up those moronic fans.

At least the Jays don't have to face the Cardinals good pitching. Anything that slants at all in our favour is a good thing.

Aces, Mid-rotation guys, Back-rotation dudes, Jo-Jo Reyes, is the same s*** for the Jays. Bro, we're destroying every single pitcher.

Jesse Chavez - Check

Verlander - Check

Lester - Check

Shields - Check

Cliff Lee - Check

Salazar - Check

Cobb - Check

Archer - Check

i'm not gonna get comfortable with the division lead until/if the jays are 14+ games ahead of the 2nd place team
