Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Ugh, bad at bat by bautista, should have walked.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Willing to cut Jose slack. Frustrated plus brutal umps.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 f***ing umpire. He's actually been really good tonight. I think thats the only bad call so far. Can't be perfect.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Does anyone find the cameraman is zoomed in too much on home plate ?
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Willing to cut Jose slack. Frustrated plus brutal umps. He's been good most of the night, bautista chasing balls in the dirt up 2-0 is the issue.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Damnit that was ripped, tough luck this inning.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 2 decently hit balls - just right at guys.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 He's been good most of the night, bautista chasing balls in the dirt up 2-0 is the issue. I meant slack on showing frustration to the ump.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Miggys was obvious and he still checks yet doesn't even bother to check on Jose's
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 2 decently hit balls - just right at guys. Been a few of those, not much luck
S33n Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Miggys was obvious and he still checks yet doesn't even bother to check on Jose's I hate to be "that guy", but it seems like typical treatment towards our guys.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 He's actually been really good tonight. I think thats the only bad call so far. Can't be perfect. Yeah he has.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lind that ball was a foot off the plate again jesus.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Fack. Oh well, he should be gone or on a short leash next inning.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Yeah he has. Real issue is swinging at ball 4 tonight. Been at least 4 of those with nothing to show for it.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Real issue is swinging at ball 4 tonight. Been at least 4 of those with nothing to show for it. Lind's been guilty twice, others were fairly close pitches, but linds were both a foot off the plate.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lind that ball was a foot off the plate again jesus. holy f***
43211234 Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 That's at least 3 times a Blue Jay has swung at ball four in a full count tonight.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Wouldn't mind a run or two, but I love pitching duels. Especially with a guy some people (including myself) had a small concern for
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 2 decently hit balls - just right at guys. I don't know if that means as much as it used to. I think Baseball is getting to the point where if you "decently hit a ball right at a guy", I don't know how much that has to do with you getting unlucky than it does with you letting the shift beat you. Defensive shifts are at an all-time high and they're being used almost twice as much as they were used last year (8,000 shifts last season, on pace for 14,000 shifts this year). You've gotta get the ball between the fielders now, the line drive out / unlucky BABIP excuse has now got an expiry date, and it won't work for many more seasons.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I just sat down to watch. Are the jays trying to manufacture runs here, or swinging hard?
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 That's at least 3 times a Blue Jay has swung at ball four in a full count tonight. I said this earlier and got s*** on by some posters here, but yes your right, been a bit impatient in full counts.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 haha.....ya I know. Just a random thought. I wish I could stop thinking how much better shape we'd be in now if he HAD signed Sanchez or Darvish.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 That's at least 3 times a Blue Jay has swung at ball four in a full count tonight. Tip your hat...its just great pitching.
