Should the Rays fan boys be allowed to like the Jays again?

Well. Should we allow it? You know who we are talking about. The big baseball know it all's trumpeting how great the Rays were.... Oh that great depth. Going to carry them all the way to the playoffs. Screw the Jays... they suck... they didn't qualify Josh Johnson... they didn't fire AA and Gibby..... Let's change all our avatars to Rays logo's and wagon ride all the way to the playoffs...... Except No. Rays 10.5 games back and it's only June.... Now all the Rays fan boys have to watch a whole season of suck... while the Jays fan, after years of suck (with a few non sucky... but noncontending teams) set to ride all the way to the playoffs........... Oh yeah!!

 

So the question is.

 

Should we forgive all these ship jumping Rays fan boys and allow them to enjoy the Jays again?

It doesn't really matter. It just got tiring seeing people on Friedman's nuts because he wins the dollars per WAR award. I was talking the other day about the Shields trade, he was clearly shopping him and just sold him to whoever the highest bidder was. I don't know why he should get praise for that, and not that this is overly relevant but I really don't think Myers will turn into a stud, KC likely thought he was overrated and I believe they were right.

Friedman held out GMDM to get Wil Myers as well to get Odorizzi. I don't know about you, but that deserves praise.

 

But let's say that Friedman just held out and the Royals offered that. What makes that any different than a GM who sells off a pitcher to a team for prospects, like for example....Halladay to the Phillies?

I'm no Friedman/Rays lover but you should probably stop using the word overrated. After calling Longoria overrated you kind of lost any credibility when proclaiming someone overrated.

Pretty sure the team winning has a lot more to do with that. Every board needs intelligent opposition, the issue with this board is that many of us started getting information that the F.O. wasn't what we thought it was, and the Rays happened to be the best example of what we thought the Jays were going to be. Good on the Jays for winning, it's the only answer for them. As for me, my season will be no less disappointing as before when the Jays were not winning, I'm still going to watch a shitload of baseball.
