Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 @SNBarryDavis 17s Liam Hendriks to Buffalo. No other move yet. #bluejays
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hendriks going back...DOWN UNDER. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Best call Give Stroman multiple starts, don't panic if one is bad Let Hendriks keep starting, we might need him again later
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ok so looks like Stroman is going to get a real chance to stick now. Love it.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Right move. Now Stroman know that his chance is legit.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Wow AA actually makes the right move. /slowclap
SantosLHalper21 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Keep Hendriks as the long man. Remove Redmond altogether. Call-up either Wagner or Tepera.
43211234 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Sucks for him but the right move. Take the two wins from his fluky starts and run.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ok so looks like Stroman is going to get a real chance to stick now. Love it. Yep, he has nothing left to prove at AAA.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Credit to Hendriks for coming up and giving us a chance to win in both games he started. He'll get another spot start or two later in the year but he was clearly insanely lucky in his last appearance. Could've easily given up 5-6 home runs.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Right move. Now Stroman know that his chance is legit. Yep You have to let him roll, and not feel like every start is his last if it's bad. Let him go steady for several weeks and then decide if he can stick in the rotation.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Keep Hendriks as the long man. Remove Redmond altogether. Call-up either Wagner or Tepera. ...........and lose Redmond Why?
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Redmond remains as mop up. He did do a good job in yesterday's blowout. Probably better than Hendriks in that role anyway. Rotation looking good. Just need to upgrade on Happ.

guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 holy f*** they actually made the right call. buck was scaring the s*** out of me with all this "liam has been pitching well" BS
SantosLHalper21 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 ...........and lose Redmond Why? Would rather give that mop-up role to a young starter in the minors like the Jays used to do with guys like Al Leiter in their World Series years. Redmond leads the Jays with 4 losses and he's only pitched 15 games this year. It's a better than 25% chance he loses when he comes into a game...pretty brutal. A guy like Deck McGuire out of the bullpen could make sense. Chad Jenkins etc. Assuming Wagner is recalled for Hendriks, I can see him getting sent down again once Santos returns, but I prefer Wagner's strike throwing abilities over Santos'...so I honestly have no clue what's going to happen right now.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Wow didn't expect this, incredibly happy with this move. I honestly believed that they'd put him into the bullpen and he'd end up blowing a win or two before getting the demotion, but they actually went through with it. Good on the management, this was the only right move.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I expected them to send Stroman back down, but I'm glad they made the right move.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Romero just hurt his leg per Bisons twitter Romero will hang em up once his contract expires and the only reason he's still in baseball.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Oh and I'm sure Hendriks will get another chance to start, he's not that old and could get a chance to make it as a spot starter/long reliever.

Redmond hasn't been that bad this year. Win/Loss isn't always a great stat to judge a players performance considering he's mainly a mop up guy for blow outs
