HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Anyone noticed the crowd this game seems quiet? Despite 35K.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Man lawrie is good, Happ and Redmond eating up innings. Even when the jays are bad they're doing good things
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Good job boys!!! f*** you Metallijay.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Anyone noticed the crowd this game seems quiet? Despite 35K. its been a blowout since the first, not really an exciting game
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Stroman needs to stay in rotation. His upside is light years ahead of Happ and Hendricks. Id actually like to see Happ kicked outta the rotation. f*** that guy.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Nope I would be pretty pumped. But it is just one start. Lets not all call him Sonny Gray with a 14 inch cock. Lets ease up here. reported
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 reported for saying cock or being racist?
jb22 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 He threw a quality start against the Royals lets not get to crazy. Yall acting like he threw 9 innings and struck out 18. Manage your expectations this is why the lows are so bad on this board. Personally I'm not as excited about him pitching well in one start, but more for the fact that we may have found a solid rotation piece that's cheap and didn't cost any prospects. If he can eat some innings and pitch like a solid #4 even it'll be a big boost over throwing out guys like hendriks.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 If it wasn't for Navarro, Stroman would've thrown 6 shutout innings with 10K. It's ok, we'll take the outing he had, now back to AAA kid.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 After the Jays got up 8-1 or whatever I went outside to mow the lawn and listed on my phone via headphones. As I passed by this corner of the yard, Redmond was pitching and the metaphor struck me as funny.
flafson Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Overall was a good game for Stroman, hopefully he can adjust as soon as more hitters see him.

Nothing worse than walking down a nice street in a nice neighborhood and seeing that one lawn that just sucks. Edit: Actually on further inspection, a little patchy in the middle. Kinda yellow too. 6/10 would only bang, not marry.

I'm not one of those guys that spends hours on the yard, but I know what you mean - has to be kept neat.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Front looks a bit better but not as good as usual for late May Gotta clean up the grass more. yuck

The other day it was like 25 degrees in Toronto and it was 5 degrees in Sydney (where my parents live).

Have a feeling the rank is gonna move up a bit more after today's numbers are registered. Gonna be hard to dethrone the Angels though, especially when Hamilton comes back.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Thats a thing of beauty!!! The 0BB is quite refreshing And he still kept the ball in the yard

jb22 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 We still need a front end type to be a contender. Totally agree, but if he can pitch like that consistently with his stuff, maybe we only need one pitcher instead of two.

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 4.97 http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=3548&position=P Wait is he advocating for lian Hendricks to stay over Stroman?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Look at his xFIP and than come back and talk to me. Anti-stat trolling, grammar fails, and a complete lack of knowledge in one post. Sweet.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Lol whatever helps you sleep at night. A couple of you are butt hurt because I won't over hype Stroman and I'm not Loup's biggest fan. Yall need a hobby. "Lorenzo Cain is a scrub"
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Rothesay (Saint John), NB It's been complete s*** weather until like yesterday Ah! A guy I know is from Rothesay. Not going to post his name on here though. Hopefully it warms up.
