Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 @gregorMLB 1m #BlueJays have DFA'd Korecky for assignment. Stroman up and will start tomorrow.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Korecky DFA'ed already? Fire AA.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 First MLB start for Stroman You wanna bet he'll be pumped up and hungry
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 LOL What? Why did they DFA Korecky? Better yet, why the hell did they even call him up?

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 LOL What? Why did they DFA Korecky? Better yet, why the hell did they even call him up? It's the AA way or the high way.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What a f***ing waste of a transaction. WHY AA?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Korecky is 34 but...........******** move
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What a f***ing waste of a transaction. WHY AA? It has to be a misinterpretation, I don't see why they would do that move, it doesn't make any sense. If he's actually been DFA'd, I wouldn't be surprised if he spites the Jays by throwing a win of relief for someone else, a la Carpenter and Farquhar. I'm actually upset about this move, but it's less so because I think he might have actually been an asset, and more so because you're just playing around with a guy's career for no reason, and probably pissing off the Bisons to boot.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What a f***ing waste of a transaction. WHY AA? He was here for mop up duty, but i don't understand why redmond can't do that job?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Redmond > Korecky but that was a crappy move.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Minor Leaguer @Minor_Leaguer My speculation re: DFA - Bobby Korecky has option left, but debuted 3+ years ago so needs to go thru optional waivers to be sent down..
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 They use Redmond in big situations apparently. Like a tied game in the 11th with Cecil just sitting in the pen chillin. Cecil was not available apparently, pre determined
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Let's all make too much out of nothing.....
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Most of this board didn't even know who Korecky was yesterday.

flafson Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Wait, if they DFA him, doesn't it mean they have a time frame in which they can think about what to do with him? My thinking was they let Stroman pitch tomorrow and then send him down and bring back Korecky because they are still in that time frame.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 AA is using the Buffalo roster for a 26 th man which lengthens the Bullpen. It is just smart management. He will be optioned back to Buffalo and the next guy to be used will be Wagner.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I guess AA shouldn't have said they had no innings limit on Hutchison. Just another serving of foot for his mouth.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Makes more sense now, but why call him up in the first place?
