Esmil Rogers -- and not Marcus Stroman -- is listed on the card as #Bisons starter tonight. Endeavoring to find out why. #Bluejays

#Bisons manager Gary Allenson has no info on Stroman. Said there's no health issue. Obviously something in the works.

My guess is he is on his way up to start or Esmil passed him on the depth chart lol.

Why would they call him up now when Hendriks just pitched 2 days ago.

If they are smart they called him up.... DFA'd Redmond and put Hendrick's into Redmond's roll.

Why does Hendriks deserve to be in the bullpen, kid has been the worst.

Lol no. If they are smart, they DFA'd Hendricks and called up Stroman to start.

Trade or called up are the two possibilities. I'm going to assume called up.

So you're saying Stroman is now a member of the AA Circle-Jerk?

It would be JUST like AA to go down to Buffalo to scout a guy, determine that he's good enough to be worth a shot in the rotation, and then DFA him after 11.2 innings. I would love it! Please happen.

Plot thickens.....Marcus Stroman has arrived and is long-tossing in right field...Stay tuned #Bisons #Bluejays

So obviously he has not been traded and if he was hurt not likely doing long toss....... My guess is that someone is getting called up for a start.

-Scratched from start.

-Player doesn't know whats happening

-Agent calls and tells him to hang on and wait to see what happens.

Screams of a trade.

The factors you listed definitely scream of a trade. Otherwise, wouldn't they simply tell him, "Hey, you got the call."

I suppose if he was going to pitch Tuesday, and the Jays needed to wait until after the game to send someone down, that might explain it.

That's another good explanation. Perhaps the Jays just want to wait until after the game to send a reliever down?

DFA Redmond and problem solved.

Its very weird. If they needed a RP for the short term, they couldve sent down Rasmussen and brought up Stroman, because he could be used out of the pen as today is his start day anyways, so he's rested. If they were bringing him up to start, why would they skip his start this turn. I think either its a trade, or they're lining him up with someone (Hendricks), and using Korecky until that turn comes around, or another RP is called up.
