burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Jesus we caught a huge break. That ball didn't touch him lol If you look closely you can see the ball changed direction at the last second when it grazed him on the leg.

Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 He had 7 quality starts in a row previous to this start. Yeah, but he's not giving us quality starts when we need them. I mean, you always love a quality start, but baseball is hugely situational, meaning there are times when it's imperative that we get that "quality start" and for the past year and a half, he's consistenly been a momentum killer. Just as Halladay was that guy who almost ALWAYS broke the teams losing streak. He was a true ACE in that critcal senser as well. Dickey comes out and shits the bed at times when we need him to continue to help give the team momentum. Like tonight where his team gives him four runs against a weak hitting team that is 3-7 in it's last ten and scuffling huge.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Delabar has been horrible. So lucky there.
S33n Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Not a lot of faith in Delabar this year :/

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Yeah' date=' but he's not giving us quality starts when we need them. Dickey comes out and shits the bed at times when we need him to continue to help give the team momentum. At critical times, he comes out and shits the bed completely. Like tonight where his team gives him four runs against a weak hitting team that is 3-7 in it's last ten and scuffling huge.[/quote'] Anyone who expects Dickey to perform like Halladay is setting themselves up for huuuuuuge disappointment. Just because AA was an idiot and gave up a package that should have netted a real ace, doesn't mean the guy he got was one.
Smedley Butler Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Dear Lord Olerud Give me the strength to suffer a classic RA Dickey start And give us this day our daily fap And smite all those who trespass against the win streak with your mighty overclocked CPU And forgive those who fail to wig out every time the club is losing On Earth, as you do in Digital Heaven Amen

He is no Halladay, that's for sure.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hopefully that long rest throws off shields
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Need to hit Shields again before they take him out. He still looks a bit wild.
