Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 This may be the dumbest thing I have ever said but is it possible that diminished velocity is good for buerhle since its a larger contrast to what the hitters are used to. For Buehrle I don't think it matters too much, he has great control and knows how to mix things up at a high level.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I respect Rios for just admitting he was out...not wasting time with the replay shuffle
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Terrible throw to second, replay upcoming. I will say it was a difficult throw as Encarnacion was inside of 1B and the runner was between Tolleson and 2B. Tolleson did well to not only catch that pitch but to tag Rios in time. No bad play on either fielder in my opinion.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 tough strike zone....ross hasn't been getting the calls
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Thought I'd mention that due to Fielder's injury, the Rangers have 2 men on the bench tonight, Odor and JPA. Texas better hope no injuries occur.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 This seems like a game in which the Jays will leave 10+ on base and lose 4-3 or something.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 60 pitches in the 3rd - looks familiar
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Lawrie is not doing well recently with two strikes...maybe a little too patient
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Lawrie looks outmatched by Ross lawrie has had a lot of hits during his hot stretch later on in games after he's seen the pitcher a couple times...we'll see if he can make an adjustment here tonight.
Ash70 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 dissapointing inning after the leadoff hit.

At least he didn't airmail it so an overreaction on my part, but IMO he had more time than he thought to make a proper throw. Good play by Tolleson on the catch and tag.

True...also could be he doesnt like hitting in Texas' stadium. When the sun goes down it is much much much easier on the hitter

Ash70 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 MB very lucky to get out of that inning with the loss of 1 run. His control just seemed to vanish.
