G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Still probably wont sign. AA's non realistic value assessments. He HAS to sign both first round picks this year and he knows it 1. The farm needs help 2. That Beede pick gets lost if he fails to sign a pick one or two more times doesn't it?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Beede pick was used to sign Stroman. It's the Bickford pick at #11, and if he doesn't sign the draft pick (11) this year the pick gets discarded Oops Thanks
AngryBird Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Just release him so he can sink someone else's farm team with his abysmal pitching. What a mental midget that guy is.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 RR going going gone and not coming back. Epic collapse and cash sinkhole. Too bad. Hoped he could turn it around but no improvement...regression if anything (hard to do).
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 There must be something wrong physically. They should perform TJS for no reason... Just to see what happens. That's really sick but made me lol
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Rickey lost his GF and hasn't been the same since. kind of feel sorry for him... but then I think about how much he is making to be a piece of s*** and that feeling goes away.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 In this game started the fall of Romero. I remember that in the 5th inning of that game Romero change until this day. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/8879974/v21095879/5212-blue-jays-bats-finish-off-series-with-win/?query=Romero%2Btexas

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Romero needs a double knee replacement.
Convo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Romero needs a double knee replacement. I think he needs a lobotomy to get over you-know-who
Convo Verified Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Isn't he with that ex-soccer star, who's making a comeback, she's sexy bro. She's fugly IMO, and either way nothing compared to MISS USA
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Ricky Romero 3 hitless innings and.......................4 walks
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Romero 5 IP, 7 Walks, 4 K's
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Romero 5 IP, 7 Walks, 4 K's Good start by Romero standards.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Maybe he needs Rick Vaughn goggles?

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Hopefully he's been conservative with his money.
shortstop Verified Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 i wonder if he threw at 80-85% velocity, whether he can pinpoint his fastball where the catcher has set up his glove 7 times out of 10... i honestly don't think he can consistently...
flafson Verified Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Maybe he needs glasses, did they think of that?
Caper Verified Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 It's like Ricky is locked in some baseball coma... There is a good Ricky in there... Somewhere.. But he may never be seen again.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 If I were the Jays management I would just cut him loose for his sake. He is not going to make any contribution to this team before the contract is over, and it's better for him to restart over in another organization with a fresh mind and maybe new coaching. I don't know of any great minor league pitching coaches but we all know that Dave Duncan with the Cardinals can work some magic on Ricky.

The Jays should get Halladay to talk with him even if it means paying Halladay some money for the consultation. Nothing else seems to be working and Romero may listen to him because he had some bad experiences yet managed to make a terrific comeback. Grasping at straws really.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Norris to aaa, Rickey to Vancouver! Despair him! Down the system! DSL? Rookie ball ? Sell him to ?
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Can they add his ex to the payroll? Might be worth a shot.
BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I think its time to release Ricky Romero so that if there is a chance he can save his career elsewhere Because at this point, we need to let him go Its over
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 No reason to let him go while they are paying him good money. In the chance that Romero performs elsewhere while the Jays are still paying him...that would look bad. Just let him waste his life in this organization or figure it out on his own. It's not the Jays fault he can't spot the ball properly.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Ricky Romero with a superb performance 3IP, 3 WALKS (Season rate 10.13 BB/9) and 2 K's
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ugh, I hate that that's progress. f***. I want Romero to succeed so badly. It isn't going to happen, but I'm not gonna stop rooting for him.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Ricky Romero with a superb performance 3IP, 3 WALKS (Season rate 10.13 BB/9) and 2 K's My how the mediocre have fallen.
