onwego Verified Member Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 This is this decade's 'the ship is sinking'. Bingo
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Though to be fair to Marcus, the question was absolutely retarded. Oh Marcus, please tell us that you love all of Canada so we can collectively stroke our maple boners!!!
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 He could've just gave a short, polite answer and got on with it.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 It seems like a really random time and place for him to be asked that unless I'm missing something, but that obviously doesn't justify lashing out in response.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Though to be fair to Marcus, the question was absolutely retarded. Oh Marcus, please tell us that you love all of Canada so we can collectively stroke our maple boners!!! It's more likely the reporter is doing a piece related to our prospects and wanted some first hand info on, you know, one of our minor league facilities they were perhaps sent to?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Though to be fair to Marcus, the question was absolutely retarded. Oh Marcus, please tell us that you love all of Canada so we can collectively stroke our maple boners!!! What was the exact question? I haven't heard it yet. Was it really just about how he liked Vancouver or was there more depth to it (ie. while you were in Vancouver, what kinds of things did you work on)? P.S. A good Maple boner stroking is always warranted.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 It's more likely the reporter is doing a piece related to our prospects and wanted some first hand info on, you know, one of our minor league facilities they were perhaps sent to? Oh true. After game scrum is definitely the absolute best time to ask that.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 It may be the wrong time to ask but I don't think that's worthy of a temper tantrum meltdown.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 It may be the wrong time to ask but I don't think that's worthy of a temper tantrum meltdown. Yeah, I really hope this little dweeb gets dealt soon. Honestly so hard to root for him.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Yeah, I really hope this little dweeb gets dealt soon. Honestly so hard to root for him. While I agree, I don't want to move him while he's pitching like ass.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Yeah, I really hope this little dweeb gets dealt soon. Honestly so hard to root for him. He's highly unlikable. Also, his fanbase that blindly defends his every move is the worst.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Hahahha it was Arash Madani "Just wondering for you stepping on the field at Nat Bailey Stadium for the first time, what did that mean to you and your career?" Apparently though it was at the end of his media scrum and for a TV piece about the Canadians. Probably still the wrong time to ask that but Stroman is a moron and overreacts to everything. I can see him getting the boot next year if he bounces back.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 He's highly unlikable. Also, his fanbase that blindly defends his every move is the worst. I almost want him moved just cause they're so unrelenting in their blind love...and it would be satisfying to see them in pain.

King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 You just know Stroman is name searching himself on Twitter right now.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I guess it's too much to expect him to take the high road and apologize for being a dick. Also, the entire second half of this paragraph is pure garbage. The fans will eat it up though.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 LOL @ him blaming the media for spinning his words
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 LOL @ him blaming the media for spinning his words I'm not siding with Stroman but this is exactly what the media does. They are just as toxic as him if not more so.
MarcoSanchez Verified Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 No one is asking the question that really matters Has Gibbons challenged Stroman to a fight yet? In homage to ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After Shea Hillenbrand wrote on the clubhouse bulletin board that the "ship was sinking," Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons challenged him to a fight. "He challenged me to a fight, and wanted me to get up and punch him in the face," Hillenbrand told FAN 590 in Toronto.
MarcoSanchez Verified Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 And Also When Lilly left the mound for the locker room, Gibbons followed him. A team trainer and a number of players then ran down the stairs. Cameramen near the dugout saw Gibbons push Lilly first. Canadian Press photographer Aaron Harris, one of a handful of photographers to witness the skirmish, said Lilly was waiting for Gibbons in the tunnel leading to the clubhouse. "Gibbons just went at him," Harris said. "It looked like Gibbons grabbed him and they disappeared. Then the whole dugout emptied back there. It was mayhem down in the tunnel."
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I'm not siding with Stroman but this is exactly what the media does. They are just as toxic as him if not more so. It happens for sure but I'm not about to give Stroman the benefit of the doubt here. He claims they only wrote about the part where he called the team terrible and I'm not seeing that..
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Stroman for Jon Gray, who says no? I f***ing wish. Maybe Colorado will get hard for the sinker again.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Media taking another black man down...and the It's what happens on the field is what I care about crowd wants to trade him for pennies on the dollar. FYI, Dogg you were banned for a Shea reference even if in an appropriate context still banned.
King Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I f***ing wish. Maybe Colorado will get hard for the sinker again. I just don't see the spin here. Arash asked a question and Stroman flipped the f*** out. If Stroman had stayed level headed there would be no issue. Then it gets written about, as any incident like this would with any player, and the people say the media have it out for Stroman.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 This is some primo thread necromancy... lol... exactly!
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I'm not siding with Stroman but this is exactly what the media does. They are just as toxic as him if not more so. Particularly with a s*** hole publication like the Sun.

Literally anyone else on earth would have been a better choice, including Kim Jong Un
