When it was built, it was pretty much universally adored. The aesthetics haven't aged particularly well, but that doesn't mean they weren't appropriate for the late 80s.

 

Yes,i remember all the hype and how it's futuristic look was absorbed universally. The problem is, baseball stadiums have to built with most of it having traditional features or else the appeal will wear off. I do understand that it was built to be a multi venue type stadium,which is unfortunate for the baseball aspect.

Some type of retractable roof but open air first. Put some nice blue grass in there. Build it on the Lake. They can get nice in creative.

Oh, I understand the reasoning... It should be habit and not matter who is next to you, so English would make the most sense, it just never occurred to me, and it was surprising to actually hear it like that.
