theblujay Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 When can we end this and start Stroman
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 YEs, they will, last nights was a game they should have won. This is a .500 team that cannot seem to get out of its own way. Actually, if almost any team is around .500 end of June and acquires 1 or 2 players to address their weaknesses, they have a chance to contend. The problem with the Jays is they never think they have a chance unless they are like 8 or 10 games above .500 ( which is kind of like this forum in some regards, everyone downgrades whatever they do ). So most of the last 20 years, the Jays don't add meaningful players mid season, even when lower ranked teams do. It would be interesting to list the Jays adds/drops of meaningful players mid season the last 10 years versus other teams in their division, and compare.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Should have brought in Stroman for that 8 inning save. lol
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Happ thinks meatball fastballs are a good idea over and over?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Please get rid of this crap
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 nothing like seeing JA Crapp after a night of drinking... barf!
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Why are we wasting starts on Happ with stroman here?
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Straight fastball over the middle, Happ is garbage.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Get the pen up in a hurry. This guy sucks.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Happ just doesn't have the secondary stuff to be a starter
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Again why are we wasting games with Happ on the mound? Let the young guy stroman get some experience.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 The key thing is that Happ believes he's good enough. That's all that matters.
jays76 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 This isn't going to get better, this lineup is going to chew Happ up. The only thing we can pray for is a 10-8 wild shootout win since Skaggs is garbo too.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 The key thing is that Happ believes he's good enough. That's all that matters. His fastball command isn't terrible. He could be useful against lefties out of the bullpen.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 That was just a good smart hit there.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 It isn't about BABIP, it's about talent!! Happ suck
bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I wonder if Happ's leash is short enough for this to be the end of it.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Happ thinks meatball fastballs are a good idea over and over? The homerun was a fastball in a half decent location, but if you're going to throw it as much as Happ does and there isn't a ton of movement or plus velocity to it hitters are going to sit on it and hit even decently placed fastballs hard.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I usually don't cheer against my Jays but.... I Lil' part of me wants Happ to fail so bad it forces AA to get rid of him so I never see him again!
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 That was way over the plate, umps are so bad. Robo umps please.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 lol Happ is so bad. Pujols is up.
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Wow, second inning and it comes to this already. Pujols with bases loaded.
