Notes:

MLB:

  • No Important Notes Today.

Jays:

  • Mark Buehrle posted a 0.64 ERA while winning his first four starts, and he bounced back from a tough outing to give up three runs - two earned - in 6 2-3 innings of a 7-3 win over Kansas City on Thursday.
  • Blue Jays entered play on Tuesday night with the most production from their outfield compared with any other team in the American League. Toronto outfielders ranked first in OPS (.882), slugging (.519), runs (63), home runs (21), walks (47) and extra-base hits (46).
  • Jose Batista went 3 for 4 and has reached base in 33 straight games for the longest streak in the majors since Cincinnati's Joey Votto also reached in that many in 2011.

Phillies:

  • Lee owns a 1.67 ERA after giving up eight runs in his first outing. He allowed two runs - one earned - and four hits in seven innings of Philadelphia's 5-3 loss to Washington on Friday.
  • Phillies pitchers entered Tuesday with a 2.78 ERA in their previous 12 games, which is the second-best ERA in baseball since April 21.
  • The Phillies on Thursday against the Blue Jays will play the 20,000th game in franchise history. They are 9,406-10,478 with 114 ties or no-decisions. The Phillies will be just the fourth team to play 20,000 games. The Cubs, Braves and Giants are the others.

I know it's useless information because of sample size, but man those lineups have some ugly career numbers against those pitchers. Time for some regression to the mean and an 8-6 jays win.

Will be cheering for the Jays from way up

Flying to San Francisco and bought the wifi on the plane so I could surf and watch the game. Sweet if it works!

See Janssen pitched today, one inning 4 batters faced and two strike outs allowed one hit on 17 pitches.

Nice

AA said back to back games on the weekend then maybe activate. Fingers crossed.
