If anyone who used one of my lineups yesterday could post what they used (time and projection system), their placement (x out of y), their score, and the 50% score for 50/50s. It would be appreciated so I can build a record with more entries than just my own!

Pfft. You give us a free model and you expect us to do this? lol jk.

12.30pm ( i think)

FGDC

1847/1950

What do you mean by projection system? If we used your lineup, aren't we counting on your projections?

Sorry for the n00bish question. I'm thinking tonight I may play one of yours and my own.

Oh, right. I remember seeing that in the doc he provided yesterday.

There's varying reports that as you go up in entry $ it gets harder (1,2,5,10)

That would make sense but not really based on my sample size.

The rake % also goes down with higher entry fees so that can help.

$1 to $50 10%

$109 8.3%

$270 7.4%

$535 6.5%

Not sure how many have the $ to enter $535 contests... heh

If you're playing to make cash the smart thing would be to just play JFaS FGDC projections every day in multiple 50/50 games. Personally, i find it really fun to do the research myself and building your lineup is half the fun in FD/DK. So i think i'm going to do with what you're doing. Play 50/50's using JFaS (when i have time like today) and my own lineups for bigger tournaments for the fun.

My DK lineup was:

P - Felix

P - Liriano

1B - Duda

2B - Daniel Murphy

SS - Ian Desmond

3B - Kelly Johnson

OF - Bryce Harper

OF - Giancarlo Stanton

OF - Michael Morse

DK says I made this lineup at 12:19 yesterday.

This lineup scored 91.1 and I played 3 50/50s:

14/20 - 99.2 50% score

90/150 - 95.7 50% score

131/200 - 96.95 50% score

Cubs/Cards cancelled if you got your lineups in early and have any.

Thanks. It's good to know although since this is a travel day, most owners are unlikely to have enough players starting to make replacements. The bigger impact will be on the rotation schedule.

JFaS, any chance of adding another column to your output which shows what team lineups are included in each update?

Don't mean to be picky when you're sharing your system with everyone but I think it would be a good addition.

I think he said he's getting his line-ups from baseball press, so whatever is posted there (depending on the time of his last update).... http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups

Does anyone know if temperature is regulated in Miller Park and Chase Field when the roof is closed?

From Wikipedia in regards to Miller Park: "...It allows the seating area to be heated 30 degrees warmer than the outside temperature when closed..."

From this faq it says the roof is generally closed when the temperature dips below 60 degrees.

Chase Field from wikipedia: "The roof, which takes just four and a half minutes to open or close at a cost of $2–$3, is closed three hours before game time using two 200-horsepower motors triggered from a control room in the upper deck above left-center field.[8] A massive HVAC system then drops the temperature inside the park 30 degrees by the time the gates open."

JFas or anyone else, can you guys point me in the right direction with this?

So my model is at the point where i have all rate stats calculated, with Home/away factors, Park factors and pitcher/hitter interactive factors accounted for. I'm having trouble calculating how many PA/TBF will occur for each pitcher vs team matchup, obviously the most important factor is the wOBA or FIP for that matchup but how do you translate that to PA's and TBF? Lets just say for simplicity sake the hitters only face the SP, i can obviously adopt that model to the hitters vs bullpen calculations where needed.

Thanks, that adjustment brings Garza down to 19.12 and 11.34 from 20.98 and 12.96.

Interesting. I was going to ask if you included ballpark elevation but that would already be inherently part of the park factor I guess.
