wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Not worried about our lack of depth in pitching, batting, catching, the infield and the outfield. AA is all over it. http://www.funflashgames.com/games/thumbs/5875_250.jpg
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Lucroy please. Small dip into sequencing indicated he was best. Also amazing framer and excellent hitter. Lucroy is an elite ballplayer.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Ben Nicholson Smith on Kratz: - The Blue Jays haven't announced the Kratz move yet, so we aren't yet sure what the corresponding move will be. Best guess: Navarro is day to day and the Blue Jays simply want Kratz up for additional flexibility off of the bench against NL teams. In that case, I'd say Jenkins and Rogers are candidates to lose their spots on the Jays' roster. I expect that the corresponding move for Kratz will involve the demotion of a pitcher, though that's not confirmed. Navarro appears to be a bit banged up, but it doesn't appear too serious right now.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Pete Orr wanted to sign with Blue Jays “Pete made it clear to them they were his first choice and starting in [triple-A] Buffalo was fine,” agent Blake Corosky of True Gravity Sports told Sportsnet. “But they were equally clear there were better options and that they liked him but not enough.” http://www.sportsnet.ca/blogs/blue-jays-rundown/brewers-orr-wanted-to-sign-with-blue-jays/
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 So Dioner Navarro has lost the third most strikes from framing in the league with -18.5 strikes, which is -2.8 runs. Kratz is historically an excellent framer. How accurate is that data? Seems a bit excessive for 18 blown calls
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 @iananywhere #Jays recall catcher ERIK KRATZ from Buffalo and option RHP CHAD JENKINS to Buffalo. .............and Rogers still here!!
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Trying my best.... And doing better than anyone here is with spanish . Kudos to you

Kratz is historically an excellent framer. And this team with the 2nd most walks in the game can't afford that . I like the bat but he is a disaster behind the plate . He has cost us wins
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 The thing that pisses me off about Navarro is I believe he has the ability but is so lazy and out of shape he doesn't do it . He got the boot from Tampa and LA for the same reason. He got his two year deal so he didn't have to worry about next year . He,ll probably show up in better shape next year. With our pitchers struggling to throw strikes as a Manager I would turn to a defensive catcher.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Kratz is likely here until Adam Lind returns. They'll likely keep Juan Francisco as a bench bat, going back to a 4-man bench.

Kratz is historically an excellent framer. Seems about right. Every game there are a few off speed pitches that he seems to just slap from the edge to well off the plate.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Buehrle and Hutchison are doing well with Navarro catching him. Meh, not gonna blame Navarro for the pitchers' wildness.
