eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 lol.........time to get it on mate, Dickey dominance today! We can only hope. At least the beer lines won't be as long as last night..
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 We knew the Jays would have to pitch well to beat the Yanks since they have good pitching and McGowan just didn't deliver, even if he was hurt by some broken-bat bloops. McGowan just seemed off, fastball was running high and outside. It'll be interesting to see how his shoulder feels after being in high-stress situations in his 2.2 innings.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 On a positive note, Davis, Nay, Jimenez, Sanchez, Tirado and others are off to strong starts....albeit for one game.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Only thing I have wondered is why not just bring in one of Rogers or Redman when the starters are yanked early ? And when Happ is back do we see a eight man pen? With a piggyback system ?

Which is weird since there were tons available just a few days ago.

Redmond relieved Loup yesterday, but Gibby was trying to keep the team in the game so he brought in Cecil to finish off an inning.  First time through the rotation: Dickey went 5; Hutchison went 5.1; Buehrle went 8.2; Morrow went 5; McGowan went 2.2. <---This has to improve or it'll be a continuation of last season.
