We knew the Jays would have to pitch well to beat the Yanks since they have good pitching and McGowan just didn't deliver, even if he was hurt by some broken-bat bloops. McGowan just seemed off, fastball was running high and outside. It'll be interesting to see how his shoulder feels after being in high-stress situations in his 2.2 innings.

On a positive note, Davis, Nay, Jimenez, Sanchez, Tirado and others are off to strong starts....albeit for one game.

Only thing I have wondered is why not just bring in one of Rogers or Redman when the starters are yanked early ? And when Happ is back do we see a eight man pen?

Not many seats available according to the Ticketmaster site. Which is weird since there were tons available just a few days ago.

Rogers relieved Dickey in the season opener and pitched on Thursday after Morrow went 5 innings. Redmond relieved Loup yesterday, but Gibby was trying to keep the team in the game so he brought in Cecil to finish off an inning.

 

First time through the rotation: Dickey went 5; Hutchison went 5.1; Buehrle went 8.2; Morrow went 5; McGowan went 2.2. <---This has to improve or it'll be a continuation of last season.
