theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 no, you're saying he's a bad CF and should be moved. I'm not making that leap. it's only 5 games and I dont know what is wrong, just that he is not looking right so far. not me You see Ellsbury make a sliding catch in a little bloop while our guys run in circles around routine fly balls. Rasmus is usually good, but having not so great a game
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Maybe Eating Talisman All Loser Luongo It Junior Aybar Yodeling? He mock my anti-metallijay test.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 I still can't believe this is a 140m team. Well it's really not when 2 players make up nearly a third of that (my math could be off here)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He mock my anti-metallijay test. Me too. Well, skirted around it really.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He mock my anti-metallijay test. To be fair, our testing isn't 100% perfect. LOL
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I've got an English degree with honours that suggests otherwise. But thanks. Pretty sure no english major would ever start a sentence with " I've got" and have "but thanks" as it's own sentence
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I don't follow the NBA much but I just took a glance at the standings and it's like bizarro world. nice to see the Lakers suck for a change. maybe ill start watching the Raps again.

Reyes is the one that blows because he's hasn't been healthy.

Reyes is the one that blows because he's hasn't been healthy. I think Buehrle's a bit overpayed for a #3 at his age, but he's doing his job. We know what we get with him, and if anything we've gotten more. Reyes on the other hand..... we trade a shortstop who's as good and is making a fraction of his salary. Reyes isn't useful when he's in the DL. Regardless what I was trying to say is that I don't see this team as a $140m team, but more like a $106m team with 2 overpayed players. Makes it more understandable why we're only reaching .500 but then again, $100m for a .500 team is a bit much too lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Anyone know what's been happening with the board the last few days? Why the major lag? Are you new here?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Lakers = Blue Jays and Phillies of the NBA Jays are more like the Heat after their whole 'The Big 3' marketing push, but flopping instead of doing well lol
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Protip: Bragging about degrees on this board is going to make people dislike you really really quickly because of another member who did that. You'll make it to university in a few years, young grasshopper. Don't hate.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Pretty sure no english major would ever start a sentence with " I've got" and have "but thanks" as it's own sentence this has always been a pet peeve of mine but I see people do it all the time. really smart people. I guess it's just a bad habbit for some people.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 You'll make it to university in a few years, young grasshopper. Don't hate. Why settle when I could reach for the stars and be working in Wendy's instead?

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 On another note, that play Goins made was pretty great.

Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Streaks are just random variation. Just because he's hit so far doesn't mean he'll stay "hot". We have three replacement level options, doesn't matter which play. Oh man you really are clueless sometimes. Anyone who plays ball knows hitting is streaky and there is nothing random about it. Convo Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Did I read some people thought this game was boring? Couldn't disagree more. Though it was pretty miserable to lose the opener like this. That reversed call in the third was really the nail in the coffin. The offense hasn't looked good so far, too many of our runs are being scored by the the long-ball... I know we are a HR club, but we shouldn't depend on it entirely.

I almost fell asleep in the stands. It took like 1.5 hours to play the first three innings. It was excruciating. The Diaz RBIs were the high point of the night.

And then my friends and I were drinking, so we probably didn't notice the slowness of the game.

It was the only thing that kept me from leaving early (as it was hilarious).
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
