MLB:

• No Important Notes Today.
  

 

Jays:

• The Jays have yet to give up a homer in the first 3 games of the year which is the 3rd longest streak in Franchise history. The longest streaks happened in 1989 and 1999, both 5 straight games to begin the season.
  
• Jose Reyes's MRI showed only an inflammation in his hamstring, and he is hopeful to return in the middle of April. He missed 30 games in total, 2 different 15-day DL stints, with the Mets in 2012 with the same injury.
  
• The Blue Jays' 19 consecutive non-winning series streak at Tropicana Field is at 19 right now, which is the longest active streak of it's kind since the Rays in Fenway Park from 2000-05 (25 straight series!). With a win tonight, they can end this streak!
  

 

Rays:

• The Rays are just 1-for-17 with runners in scoring position over the past two games.
  
• Tampa Bay's bullpen has allowed just one run in nine innings. The only run came against right-hander Josh Lueke on a home run by Toronto right fielder Jose Bautista on Wednesday night.
  
• The Rays have taken every series at the Trop since April 6-8, 2007 with the Rays taking 19 of the next 20 series and splitting a 4 game series once. The Rays' 148 wins against the Jays (and their 83 wins at home vs. the Jays) are the most against any MLB team for the Rays.

We NEED Morrow to pitch like a solid #3 guy at worst this year. If he can get close to 200 innings that would be a major plus as well.

Brandon Morrow throwing 150 innings a year through 2010-2012 >>> Brandon Morrow throwing 60 innings a year through 2007-2009.

 

Considering a healthy Morrow is about as good as we've had in the last 4-5 years, why the hell would we throw it away in favor of Redmond? I know this has been beaten to death, but think it through a bit. Completely irrational.

You should put batter vs pitcher splits for future GDTs (obtainable from yahoo).

 

That way we can tell why Gibby put X instead of Y in the line-up
