Jays: The Jays have yet to give up a homer in the first 3 games of the year which is the 3rd longest streak in Franchise history. The longest streaks happened in 1989 and 1999, both 5 straight games to begin the season. Jose Reyes's MRI showed only an inflammation in his hamstring, and he is hopeful to return in the middle of April. He missed 30 games in total, 2 different 15-day DL stints, with the Mets in 2012 with the same injury. The Blue Jays' 19 consecutive non-winning series streak at Tropicana Field is at 19 right now, which is the longest active streak of it's kind since the Rays in Fenway Park from 2000-05 (25 straight series!). With a win tonight, they can end this streak! Rays: The Rays are just 1-for-17 with runners in scoring position over the past two games. Tampa Bay's bullpen has allowed just one run in nine innings. The only run came against right-hander Josh Lueke on a home run by Toronto right fielder Jose Bautista on Wednesday night. The Rays have taken every series at the Trop since April 6-8, 2007 with the Rays taking 19 of the next 20 series and splitting a 4 game series once. The Rays' 148 wins against the Jays (and their 83 wins at home vs. the Jays) are the most against any MLB team for the Rays. I'm tried of making Rays notes, bring on the Yanks! Standings: http://i.imgur.com/bJidLzi.png Venue: http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/TropicanaField.gif I hope you guys enjoy the GDT! Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs! Edited April 3, 2014 by fatcowxlive
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Make-or-break year from Morrow. His last start in ST gives me hope. I WANT TO BELIEVE
Ehh Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 We NEED Morrow to pitch like a solid #3 guy at worst this year. If he can get close to 200 innings that would be a major plus as well.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah Morrow is 29 and he has the arm of a 39 year old i am worried maybe he never should of been switched from a reliever to a starter
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 He has never gotten to 200 innings yet in his career so why think he would now? He is good for 6-7 starts intill his arm falls off ... #PutHimInTheBullPen

He is good for 6-7 starts intill his arm falls off ... #PutHimInTheBullPen Brandon Morrow throwing 150 innings a year through 2010-2012 >>> Brandon Morrow throwing 60 innings a year through 2007-2009. Considering a healthy Morrow is about as good as we've had in the last 4-5 years, why the hell would we throw it away in favor of Redmond? I know this has been beaten to death, but think it through a bit. Completely irrational.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Suggestion: You should put batter vs pitcher splits for future GDTs (obtainable from yahoo). That way we can tell why Gibby put X instead of Y in the line-up
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 f*** I can't believe Morrow is 29. It's super weird. I vividly remember the night we got him and what I was doing. It was a couple nights before Xmas.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Over/under 11,000 on Rays attendance tonight?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Tampa Bay radio and TV people are ripping the Rays fans for NOT attending the Rays games, such as this podcast on 620 WDAE.. http://www.620wdae.com/media/podcast-steve-duemig-podcast-steveduemig_01/jay-mohr-wtkras-4314-24576186/ And they don't think Montreal's an MLB market.. not realizing that it was Loria that ruined the team and lost their English TV deal.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 No Wil Myers tonight according to Shi, which is pretty f***in awesome Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi #Rays scratch Wil Myers with flu-like symptoms.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 In addition, David Dejesus has also been moved to DH from LF. New lineup: Dejesus DH Jennings CF Zobrist 2B Longoria 3B Loney 1B Forsythe LF Joyce RF Hanigan C Escobar SS

Slot Machine Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 OK, we won the game yesterday. If we win today, that's three in a row, it's called a "winning streak"... It has happened before! http://ronroenickestolemybaseball.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/lou-brown1.jpg
