dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I strongly disagree. Montreal was going insane in 94. They had a potential dynasty that got ruined. They averaged 24k a game that year.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 This f***ing replay s*** is going to ruin baseball. Omfg it slows the game down SO much. They need to make it that they come out and either say replay or no immideatly. None of this check the dugout s***
vic city Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I don't like the fact that they have outside communication.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Sabathia is getting lit up by the Lastros.. 4 runs in the 1st inning. It's going to be a long year in New York, regardless of what Tanaka does...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 and here we go again with the 2 minute delay because of this stupid replay policy It's not the replay policy that's the problem, it's the way they've allowed managers to delay things while they wait. I'm sure they'll tweak it as they go to put some kind of limit on that

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 They averaged 24k a game that year. Exactly. It's a terrible baseball town. They'd probably average low 20s unless they had a stadium built in the downtown core. The Big O is not in a nice part of town.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 This is f***ing stupid. We can't do this for every close play. I know The problem is they CAN They may have to adjust this rule again before long
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 and here we go again with the 2 minute delay because of this stupid replay policy It would be just as long the other way with Maddon coming out to pointlessly argue the play, and he had to come out with Joyce's reaction.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Author Posted April 1, 2014 Nice inning from Huch!!!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Hutch gives 0 f***s, great inning.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Navarro made 2 outs that inning JP would have made 0 or 1
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Topping out at 93 it appears. Nothing wrong with that.
baubau Verified Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Loving what I am seeing from Hutch. Great job to get back. + 1 for Navarro on that throw. Its so beautiful to see a catcher not throw from the knees. :'(
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I don't like the fact that they have outside communication. I understand why they allow the outside communication, but maybe they institute some sort of time limit that the manager has to challenge within or something. Kind of like a shot clock in basketball that automatically starts as soon as the play is over, if the challenge isn't issued within 30 seconds, move on.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 It would be just as long the other way with Maddon coming out to pointlessly argue the play, and he had to come out with Joyce's reaction. you have a point but if he does this 4 or 5 times a game without really having the intention of challenging, they should make a rule change. I'm wondering who the f*** is gonna be the next commish
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Nothing like a zero after a 3 spot!

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Not a baseball town lol. Nearly 100 thousand people in 2 days suggest otherwise. Nobody promised the Montreal fans anything. They showed they want a team that nobody cares about in St. Pete, Tampa or whatever the f*** they want to call themselves. they're not a baseball town, don't let hysteria sweep you up. They may miss but if the team isn't great they will not support it
