Pitching Matchup: http://i.imgur.com/KvO6eDd.png SP - Hyun-Jin Ryu (2013: 192.0 IP, 49 BB, 7.22 K/9, 2.30 BB/9, .248 BAA, .296 BABIP, 3.24 FIP) [L] http://i.imgur.com/GJVqskg.png SP - Trevor Cahill (2013: 146.2 IP, 65 BB, 6.26 K/9, 3.99 BB/9, .253 BAA, .289 BABIP, 4.26 FIP) [L] Lineups: http://i.imgur.com/vx2PETa.png Dodgers Batting: Team Batting: http://i.imgur.com/F8PZSy8.png Team Pitching: http://i.imgur.com/0WlsNXM.png Diamondbacks Batting: Team Batting: http://i.imgur.com/8ZYyOrh.png Team Pitching: http://i.imgur.com/0RyzYof.png Notes: MLB: Tigers RHP Bruce Rondon will miss the 2014 season due to Tommy John Surgery The San Diego Padres will be without RHP Josh Johnson for at least 4-5 weeks as he suffered a strained flexor muscle. Dodgers: Hanley Ramirez played a key role in the games that he was healthy for, as he lead the majors in slugging% (.638) and was second in batting average (.345) and while he was in the lineup, the Dodgers went 55-31. He hit .455 (15-for-33) against Arizona last year with 4 homers. In the 19 meetings between the two teams, the Dodgers outscored the D-Backs 83-77. Diamondbacks: It's not hard to see that Paul Goldschmidt is the heart and soul of the Diamondbacks. The young first baseman had an MVP-like year (he finished 2nd in voting) putting up a very impressive .302/.401/.551 slashline with 36 homers. The 26 year old doubled and scored the only run in this morning's 3-1 defeat to Kershaw and the Dodgers. In the 19 games between the two teams last year, the D-Backs edged out the Dodgers 10-9 to win the season series Standings: http://i.imgur.com/5o13hk3.png Venue: I hope you guys enjoy the 2014 Opening Series in Australia and the GDT! Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs!
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Should be a good match up, expecting some Ryu fans to be there.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Let's hope it's better than the first game.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I'm expecting another show from Tumbo tonight
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Let's hope it's better than the first game. First game wasn't that bad! Seeing Trumbo's errors at like 5 am and Puig's batflip on a flyout at 6:30am was very entertaining lol
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Put some $ on LA tonight. Let's go Ryu.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I forgot to add time to my pvr recording...missed the end of the game...I won't make that mistake again..lol
bzapple Verified Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Just couldn't do 5am on a Saturday so I'm looking forward to this. Dee Gordon batting leadoff lmao
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 How many games does Trumbo have to fail in LF before they panic? He makes Eric Thames look like Kenny Lofton
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Fantasy Relevant players for me AGon + Martin Prado (BBDL) Goldy + Arroyo + Collmenter (MBPL) Trumbo + Chavez + Howell (League not related to forum) Montero + Bradley (DDML) None in the RAWRRRRRR league! I have at least two LAD/Ari relievers in every league I'm in. No core players though.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Great camera work idiots. We missed whatever people were cheering about. Dancing to Two Turntables and a Microphone??
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Same anthem singer as this morning lol. Don't they usually change it up?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Apparently anthem singers have an universal desire to drag the song out as long as possible.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Well, they will have Crawford back by Sunday Night Baseball on 3/30... Kemp won't be back until 4/3 at the earliest.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Well, they will have Crawford back by Sunday Night Baseball on 3/30... Kemp won't be back until 4/3 at the earliest. What about Grienke?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We'll see him by the Padres series as well.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 SCG's pretty nice as a baseball park. Of course, they have to re-convert it back to cricket after this game..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 What happened to Cahill? He used to be one of Oakland's elite pitchers.. good thing Billy Beane got a good return (although only Ryan Cook is healthy, because Parker had TJS, Cowgill is with the LAA.)
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Nice throw by Pollock! Ethier should've stayed at 1st.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Puig scores Ethier thrown out at 2B after RBI single
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Terrible lineup construction last two days by Dodgers. Putting worst hitter (other than pitcher) in the two most important spots (1 and 2). Not on the puig bandwagon?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 What happened to Cahill? He used to be one of Oakland's elite pitchers.. good thing Billy Beane got a good return (although only Ryan Cook is healthy, because Parker had TJS, Cowgill is with the LAA.) Cahill was never really that good. In 2010, he had a fluky good ERA (2.97, to a 4.19 FIP) and got way too much hype as a result. He's the same guy he's always been peripherals-wise.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Was referencing Gordon in 1 today and Turner in 2 spot yesterday. "Yesterday?" This is a double-header! lol
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 It appears that this night games stats over wrote the morning games stats for Yahoo fantasy. Yahoo has a note out that their stats will probably get messed up, but will be fixed by tomorrow.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Yahoo has a note out that their stats will probably get messed up, but will be fixed by tomorrow. You totally should have trolled him
bzapple Verified Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I love when one of the "keys to the game" is to win.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 "Yesterday?" This is a double-header! lol In Sydney, this is early afternoon. The first game happened the night before.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Not in Aussie! Maybe not, but if you're going by Aussie time you have to say: "Was referencing Gordon in 1 tomorrow and Turner in 2 spot today."
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Goldy! BTW, the ground at SCG is pretty similar to playing at the Rogers Centre and Tropicana Field.. both hard and fast for balls.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
