Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Anyone else catch Buck saying that Aaron Sanchez is our best pitcher right now? What is wrong with him? Its the Liquor talking Randy
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Also, Lincoln for Kratz + Rasmussen = awesome
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 He's been spewing this ******** for several days, which has got everyone saying and reporting "Should Sanchez be the #5 starter?" Yeah, it's spreading and needs to stop FFS Buck
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Wow Lincoln is missing the plate by like 3 feet
Eragon Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Goins Goins Gone! - OK not really but how many times is Goins going to hit a HR
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Melky's slashline from 2013 Spring Training: .348/.377/.591/.968 in 66 ABs (7 2Bs, 3 HRs, 1 SB, 0 CS, 12 Ks) you could see his production drop before your eyes as the tumor on his back grew in size over the regular season. With any luck, melky won't have a tumor grow on his spine this year and melky will rake.

In any event you need some new material.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Goins is a stud Nice try. You did buckle the knees of a newbie though.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Gose first hit of the spring
Eragon Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Run faster Gose..... you're on a short leash.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Buck and Jerry both pointing out how silly it is to have a 3 man bench
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 There's the difference Goins makes. Goins turns that DP with his arm strength. Huge value, especially to the pitching staff.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Buck and Jerry both pointing out how silly it is to have a 3 man bench Who needs a 4 man bench when you're LF is recovering from a spinal tumor, your RF, 3B, and SS are all made of glass, your 2B is a no-hit rookie, and your CF and DH can't hit lefties?

Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) Ok, its only spring training and the Jays score 11. So some of you are still going on about Goins and Happ. With a better hitter then Goins do we score more then 11 then ? Is that your point ? Or could it be we need better defence behind our possibly shaky pitching ? If Cabrera and Lawre hit this year our offence is going to be huge regardless of Goins. I'm still thinking Rogers joins the rotation. He's out of options and they need to find out if he can pitch given a proper chance. He'll give you innings, especially if they don't tax him as a swing man early in the season. Seems more durable then most other candidates. Edited March 19, 2014 by Cooler Heads Prevail

Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 A win is a win is a win. Doesn't matter if the 8 others are good hitters. Goins is still the biggest the on the roster. The real question is can a solid defensive 2B and a supposedly better catcher help our pitching. There is no way any of you know what the net impact of these moves will be. Projecting the performance of any one player is of limited use in this situation. Obsessing over numbers won't get you the answer, no matter how devoted you are to it.
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 http://img.pandawhale.com/post-32797-What-an-Idiot-Will-Ferrell-gif-URdZ.gif Look, *******, it's not me obsessing over Goins like he's integral to our teams performance this year. If you were a smarter guy, you'd understand the element of sarcasm in my post. But you aren't are you, you seem challenged easily on very basic concepts. The absurdity of hundreds of posts concerning an IF who may or may not last a month on the team is quite obvious. Almost as obvious as your lack of smarts.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 You always hurt the ones you love. The ones you shouldn't hurt at all. Now drop the soap again, love muffin. Jesus.
