Tony Batista might very well be the nicest person to ever wear a Blue Jays uniform. The guy pretty much has the personality of Pinball Clemons.

Greg Zaun deserves at least an honourable mention here. Guy has scanned cheques to drug dealer, Kirk Radomski, in the Mitchell Report but he waits months before saying anything and then comes up with the ridiculous excuse that he just gave signed cheques to Jason Grimsley with the recipient field blank. Nowadays he goes on TV and calls out cheaters like a total hypocrite.

Rickey was dogshit with the Jays...except his presence made everybody else better. Alomar batting 6th. A HOF player batting 6th AND that was the right spot for him in that lineup...those were the days.

 

He was hit on the hand/wrist right after being traded to Toronto. He still got on base despite not being able to swing the stick.

Wow, Mitch Williams was really bad. Career 7.08 BB/9 and -1.8 fWAR and yet he spent six seasons as a closer. We've come a long way in terms of teams not being swayed by the closer label.

I was just coming back around to following the Jays again (after going full Expos) and the Jays put out this piece of s*** (and traded several top prospects for him and Merced). Joe Carter is on my list too...still hate that f***er

Overrated? 100% absolutely yes. But Carter was pretty classy.

 

Jesse Litsch is easily my least favorite Jay of alltime. The cherry on top was when his dad kept emailing me insisting that I stop bashing him on the old board. He's in the public eye dude. Get over it.

 

Litsch had this really bizarre arrogance that was totally undeserving. I didn't want to see him fail but I'm pretty sure everyone saw it coming. (Him failing also meant that we didn't have to hear Jamie tell us the story about how Jesse was the Rays batboy for the zillionth time anymore)

The bottom of the 9th starts around 2:35. You can clearly see Rickey did not earn s*** lol. A walk on 4 straight pitches, none of them close. Although Rickey did call time out and throw Williams off his game. They were also pumping up Williams' pick off move a few moments before the Carter HR. So I'm glad that part wasn't just a figment of my imagination.

I hated Tony Batista's batting stance. Raul Mondesi because he was traded for my favourite player. Jeremy Accardo. Joe Carter for sure. Gruber. Jose Bautista. Anthony Gose. Ricky Romero. I don't know why but I didn't really like Brad Fulmer.

 

But number 1 is JP Arencibia. Good f*** do I hate that guy.
