Casey Janssen has a sore shoulder so he will also take some time off. Couple days likely. Nothing to worry about, says Gibbons #BlueJays

Out for the year?

Janssen and Santos have an agreement between them ........."This year I'll pitch, the next year is your turn, Sergio"!!

I have absolutely no reason to believe this team when it comes to the severity of injuries.

It's an absolute crime that one of Janssen or Santos was not dealt this offseason. BRUTAL asset management.

Should have traded him

"Traded" is the past of "trade".

Santos, Janssen, Delabar in the same bullpen, along replacement level 2B like Goins is madness.

Seriously. Even generally smart frugal teams like Oakland and Tampa were trading to acquire much more expensjve closers. How could AA not get something decent for either of these two???

I think it's very interesting that those GM's were doing that. Beane has a history of doing it too.

"Nothing to worry about" and shoulder soreness do not belong in the same sentence.

It's only the worst injury a pitcher can have.

Enough already! Just be glad it's not like what happened to Miguel Sano.. I'm sure Janssen will be fine in a few days.. and remeber, many players are rusty from being off for the winter.

Are you 10 years old?

Have you seen baseball lately?

"Morrow will miss couple starts"

"Lawrie out for one week"

"Bautista wrist is fine, he'll play until end of the season"

The good news is that losing Jansen for the season would barely downgrade our projected win total. The bad news is that AA doesn't realize that, would panic and do something like trade Stroman for Glen Perkins.

If you haven't seen it already, this is an interesting piece on why teams are trading for expensive closers.

You thinks you're a genius, and not, you don't!!

Without SAVEZZ you can't reach the playoffs. Stroman for Glen Perkins is a great deal for the Jays; then, trade Lind for Samardzija

Sorry guys, I smoked the same s*** that Nortof49 is smoking lately.

Especially when the pitcher had a f***ing torn labrum in the recent past.

Just LOL @ this.

Did you start being a Jays fan this offseason or something?

This current regime has never been truthful when it comes to injuries.

That is quite interesting, although the team could also let the young reliever pile up a bunch of saves then trade them for a nice little haul I'm guessing. I also find it hard to believe they couldn't sign the reliever through his arbitration years, then convert to a closer.

Didn't Santos reportedly get traded for Kinsler or something?

Anyway, great to see the board in full cynic-mode.
