Romero is just embarassing himself out there. If it was me, I'd just retire. This kind of public humiliation isn't worth 7.5 million.

 

Sure you would... Romero's career earnings to date are only 14M, like hell he or anyone else would throw away 15M over the next 2 years to save some humiliation. It's not like he's an aged superstar sitting on 100M and trying to protect his image.

Boxscore says Gose has had a decent game. Looks like he's out to a very early lead on Pillar for the 4th OF spot.

 

Solid single followed by two no-doubt stolen bases, but hard to know how much effort the pitcher was actually putting in to hold him on.

How bad was Romero, exactly?

 

I'm fairly confident in that he won't see much or any more success at the big league level, but I won't stop rooting for him.

no surprise that Romero still cant throw strikes.... his career is almost over.

 

And yet we're still going to pay him 16 million more dollars. F Me.
