jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Still s*****? Just a guess
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 There's no risk, so I'd like to see them find out. I think Johan can be productive even at an ~86.5 mph average.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I've wanted Johan forever. Mainly because I like him and not cause I think he's productive though lol
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 JFaS has him at 3.1 WAR for this season. In all fairness though, he's already admitted it's the oddest projection his system put out.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 This is a good example of a situation where you scrap the calculator and send your scouts out to see if he can still throw. Agreed. I don't care what the projections say when a guys topping out at 81.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Offer him a minor league contract and tell him you think this program could help, and have Delabar talk to him and tell him how it helped him. Maybe he signs.
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 All I know is that we're not going to find much sifting through middle relief dreck. Need some upside.

Maybe he signs. Even if the program works, it's unlikely he'd get any results until 2015, so he'd likely go elsewhere before we got any value.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Ya projections don't work when the guy loses 10 mph lol UGH really????
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Agreed. I don't care what the projections say when a guys topping out at 81. He isn't projected back until mid season. If he's still throwing 81 three months from now, then it's a problem. At this point in the process, it isn't.
bbb44 Verified Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 The program was created by Tom House and its not just for people with elbow injurys , Clay Hensley who is in the Nationals camp is his latest high profile client who is seeing huge improvements with his exercises http://www.masnsports.com/nationals_pastime/2014/02/clay-hensleys-surprising-revival-and-the-quirky-throwing-program.html
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Ya projections don't work when the guy loses 10 mph lol Teh projections dnt werk!!1!1!1!! Teh projections sux11!1!one!!11!!
