  1. We are 10th in the league in payroll ....how is that cheaping out ? We need a couple good young players who play for cheap every year to make up for the bloated contracts that run up the payroll so trading these young guys away is stupid because there value on the field and in the budget The issue is we have some bad contracts ...Romero who is in the minors that still has another full season on it and Morrow who fortunately is in his final yr and its almost a guarantee that the team option will not be picked up . Remove those and you have 13 million dollars of wasted salary , and the exact reason why investing on long term deals with pitchers is so sketchy
  2. He cant do nothing but future free agents will be made well aware of it

Its the only way the fans could make it known there not happy about Luongo not getting the start and the BS treatment he is receiving for no reason

I bet not as much as i hate the Laffs especially Kessel and Kadri
  5. This type of speculation stupid , It was the real first attempt at competing the jays have made in almost 20 yrs and created more buzz for the team then its had in the same time frame and that generated a hefty increase in revenue for them . Unfortunately everything that could go wrong seem to happen last season , Lets see what this year brings before you get to excited about these prospects that got traded that have not even proven to be a quality major league player , Prospects barley ever turn out and chances are none of those guys will even be half the players we got in return
  6. The program was created by Tom House and its not just for people with elbow injurys , Clay Hensley who is in the Nationals camp is his latest high profile client who is seeing huge improvements with his exercises http://www.masnsports.com/nationals_pastime/2014/02/clay-hensleys-surprising-revival-and-the-quirky-throwing-program.html

The only potential player that fits would be Kadri and i as a canucks fan would be very disappointed in a deal that was built around Kadri for Kesler so definitely would ignore any call coming from Nonis if i was Gillis
  8. Snider has to be it for me , Had really high hopes for him ...He just cant seem to put it together If Drabek can with stand a season with out a major injury and emotionally get control of him self then he still can be a very good option and a fixture in the starting rotation
  9. I agree , I think the Jays will go all out if the interest is mutual i think but i have a feeling he will find other teams like the Dodgers and Yankees and Cubs more appealing for history and community reasons and the Mariners only for the purpose of community reasons .
  10. I know the reason im not game for Santana in Toronto and its the exact same reason Dirk Hayhurst said n his tweet and thats HRs . The rogers center is a launching pad and Santana is prone to the HR making him a poor match
  11. I hope not , That would be selling low on Lawrie
  12. Best of luck to JPA but unlike Hill JPA has no positives or history of being even decent on the defensive side of the game ( in my opinion the most important part of a catcher ) He has had some positive qualities at the plate with HRs and some clutch hits but he has many downfalls to at the plate like his striking out and his average and OBP . Hill had shown he could do all these things in the past when he got traded but had started to struggle in toronto for a few seasons and needed a change
  13. Baustista and Sanchez is a steep price to pay for Shark and Castro in my opinion . Castro would be nice but not necessary while Bautista is more valuable to us right now
  14. On a good team he is a 4th starter , 4 plus era that has logged 200 innings once with no proven track record . AA is better of signing a like Scott Kazmir to a 2 yr contract and im guessing with the inflation this off season at 7 or 8 per and rolling the dice with either Stroman , Drabek or Hutch to start the season instead of dealing one or more of them for Shark
  15. Keep that trade value going down cause heis a 4th or 5th starter that has the value of a couple mid level prospects
