AA on 2B: "A day ago, I was talking to a club about some trades. Right now through free agency, I'd say no." -- Seems to rule out Drew

 

AA on potential 2B targets: "Our target has been more a younger guy that has upside that has a chance to be a long-term piece."

Dustin Ackley please? Should be not too expensive to acquire and he has a high ceiling. According to Wedge, sabermetric wizards are to blame for Ackley's struggles the past year. Well, no need to worry about that with the Blue Jays so he should probably flourish here.

Alcantara's not ready and thus doesn't fit into our self-constructed window. I bet he was talking about Franklin.

 

Oh, it isn't Alcantara. I was merely saying it'd be nice if it was. Ackley or Franklin, probably.

We have no long-term OF depth at all if we trade either Gose or Pillar, would prefer to deal from our strength at RP. If I was them I'd want Delebar or Cecil who are good, cheap, and controllable. If I was AA I'd try to move Santos and add a prospect. I'm beginning to give up on this off season though.

How about a blockbuster? Jose Bautista for Michael Saunders, Dustin Ackley and Walker or Paxton.

 

Walker is really the only piece there with a ton of value.
