HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/report-blue-jays-sign-dominican-prospect/ Angrioter?!
Muck Bartinez Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 His first name is Hansel. So hes got a shot to be a male model. So hot right now.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 So hot right now. Beat me to it.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The rule 5 money flip (allowed this signing) and the patient offseason (if he ends up buying some wins!) make me wonder if AA is done being dumb. I guess we'll find out kind of soon.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 The Yankees will spend about 10 million in the next 2 July. Many prospects in RD want to be Yankees.
Muck Bartinez Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Beat me to it. Looks like you might need to go to a school for kids who can't read good so you can zip through these threads a little faster next time.
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The Yankees will spend about 10 million in the next 2 July. Many prospects in RD want to be Yankees. Why would a kid want to sign with the Yankees. That only guarantees they will play anywhere but New York.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Blue Jays Sign Dominican Pitcher Hansel Rodriguez For $330,000 http://www.baseballamerica.com/international/blue-jays-sign-dominican-pitcher-hansel-rodriguez-for-330000/ I was too busy to check up on baseball till now today. I was hoping to see a jimenez, Santana or Burnett signing, but at least they did something..lol
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Money, Money, Money, Money Why would the Yankees be paying more. I can understand a kid wanting some cash but this sounded more like a team preference. It used to be that Toronto was a favourite place but then Gillick ran the show, Epy Guerrero was THE scout and Beeston was respected by everyone.
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 http://static.tumblr.com/q0jm2oo/U2ulwsf5m/ted_dibiase_sr._money_symbol.gif Gotta love Ted DiBiase. Preferred Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. Oooooh yeaaah.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I like this a lot. Alex drafted an org guy in rule 5, traded him immediately for slot money which we used to sign a 16 year old intriguing prospect. Now that's what I'm talking about
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Does this kid rank or anything? Geez 16 years old. Born in 1997 or 1998. Just a baby.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B34OJKidshw Needs some work on catching the ball from the catcher.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 How so you touch 95 at 16??!? Better question: How does a 6'2" 16 year old that sits low 90s, touching 95, only get 300k?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Better question: How does a 6'2" 16 year old that sits low 90s, touching 95, only get 300k? This is what I was wondering. Injury issues a la Hollon?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Nice move by AA. Kinda reminds me of when he traded for Miguel Olivo and declined his 500k option to pick up a draft pick. Creative and smart.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Everybody's got a price! He had the best evil laugh ever. I loved Neidhart's laugh.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 How so you touch 95 at 16??!? Wasn't Robert Stock touching mid 90's as a 14/15 year old?
LunchBox Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Anthopoulos undoubtedly has his shortcomings but stockpiling young, high-upside international talent is certainly not one of them. Five years from now, the handful of these kids that progress are going to be a lot of fun to watch. Edit: On the other hand, until that day comes, watching King fap himself to death over them is going to be excruciating lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Slightly older than me and I hit 75 on the gun at my best. whatamIdoingwithmylifeohgod
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Have you seen how little some DR kids received, that are beasts now? Sure he could be good but why didn't someone snap him up before now?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Pretty sure I could only touch 69 at 16. 75 now lol. We still talking about baseball? The better pitchers who were on my school team around my age are at 75ish at most.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Neidhart's was great, but you just can't top that lolol
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Pretty sure I could only touch 69 at 16. 75 now lol. Former catcher, CF and 2B: 85 at 17. now I play s***-softball.
