I wonder if that timing was intentional to deflect from the mess that is the Blue Jays. Looks like corporate Toronto gave up on the Jays and put their chips into the soccer team.

 

Big year to capitalize for TFC then. Possibly 3 (2 for sure) players that are on the World Cup squads, and with the competition just around the corner, the whole world will be in football mode until the end of the year. Imagine how big an MLS cup win will be following a good World Cup?
