Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Rockies extended a qualifying offer to Michael Cuddyer This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Gotta agree with that. Cuddyer only played 49 games this season.. either the Rockies really want him back, or they think someone will blow $15M+/year on him in free agency (Mets?)
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I've got a feeling this is going to be an extremely active offseason for AA. Can't wait to see which starter we deal, I'm really hoping it's Dickey and his sidekick. That would be his best option. Trade Dickey coming off a good season in the AL East with a reasonable contract. IMO, he's going to regress pretty hard, so better trade him now to an NL team for a decent return and clear some money for other needs.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Just saying if Martin did come here Navarro Is solid against LHP and Smoak is Solid against RHP...... Nice little platoon at DH/1st..... Smoak is equally bad vs RH and lh pitchers. He is not sold against rhp

LongTimeReader Verified Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 We gonna sign him now? ... If everyone agrees to defer salaries?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Carlos Perez, a C we gave up in the Happ deal, was added to the Astros 40 man to protect him from the Rule 5. Of course, he's blocked by Castro and Stassi, along with Corporan.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Do the Rockies have another year on Morneau or was it a one year deal? I can see them using Cuddyer at first but I don't see an OF spot for him there.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 LOL at the Rockies giving Cuddyer a QO. he would be crazy not to accept that. They must really want him back bad to overpay that much. What would he have gotten on the market 2 years at 10 mil per year.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Gotta agree with that. Corner OF/1B isn't even a position of need either.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 If they resign him then Dickerson becomes an intriguing trade option.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Wonder which club takes the gamble on Billingsley Anyone know his injury status after his last surgery. does he pitch in 2015
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Beeston and Blair/McCown are good friends, this is just a leak for PR purposes. I highly doubt the money's there to compete with Bos/Tex and especially the Dodgers. How is leaking the name of a player you have no chance of signing good pr? Isn't that just setting up the fan base for disappointment?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Wonder which club takes the gamble on Billingsley Anyone know his injury status after his last surgery. does he pitch in 2015 Agree. Billingsley and Rich Harden!
kgm1 Verified Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Agree. Billingsley and Rich Harden! I can see the Angels taking a shot. They are up against the wall budget wise but need pitching. They need to move an infielder to free up money for two starters. Bills should be low cost high risk but high upside.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Happ Nolin izturis and Romero! Plus 6-8 mill for Kendrick and aybar? Saves them around 6 mill to boot I think!
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 You're just trolling. Nope just being a dumbass
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Ok I will admit Romero was a long shot! Lol Would removing him and throwing in Norris or Shanchez work better?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Same s***... According to who?
