Wasn't Tulo ranked on FanGraphs as having one of the top trade values still, even with his contract?

Soriano retired today - he'll always be measured up to that big contract he signed. He was still a solid player regardless.

And he'll be also remembered as the guy traded for A-Rod. The Rangers still wish they had taken Cano instead of him and Arias..

Not a crazy ask in my opinion, I think some team could give it to him. I predicted five years in the contest.

Not sure he'll ever be a 5 WAR player again. I'm sure after his postseason, it drove up his price.

Rays announce their final 8 candidates for manager. Ibanez hasn't even retired from baseball. You think they want an inexperienced guy that's going to listen to the front office

Wouldn't Dave Martinez be the ideal candidate? I'd definitely like to see Kevin Cash manage someday; I'm not sure about Raul Ibanez just yet haha

I always talk to him. He loves the OBP, K and GB rates, but he's not very fond of wRC+ or xFIP

Martin to meet with four teams with the Jays being one of them! :) so far! Cubs have already had thier meeting!

 

What do we need to offer Martin 4/ 17.5 ? What we thinking here? Or will we need a bigger hammer?

 

Also question part 2 if we sign Martin do you trade navarro( Cubs) or keep him?

Yes, but keep in mind he's Domincan so we don't know exactly how high he can count.
