flafson Verified Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Thats not a bad thing. Our starters have been going deeper into games. If the pen is starting to get overused then you call up another pitcher, big deal. Rasmussen was only seeing mop-up duty anyways. Sure, but then when you need the help mid game, you're screwed.
Spoonovic Verified Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 The pen didn't get used at all yesterday though (Rasmussen was sent down)... you don't think six relievers and a starter is enough to get through a game?! If the Jays pen gets overworked in the next few days, AA will call up another long man to eat some innings. That's how he's always done things. Yes and Redmond has the ability to go 3-4 innings, Sanchez and Mcgowen can also go 2 innings. So we are fine for the time being.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I don't think I've ever seen a better picture... I might have to use this as an album cover. Who the hell is that guy?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Who the hell is that guy? Hossssskey Canadian. Btw nice sig. Send me a wise offer on Santana!

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Takes guts to admit you knew rape was occurring and did nothing about it? No. No, it doesn't. As far as I know he's the first player yet to come forward with anything like this even if it's well after the fact. It has to start somewhere and yeah it probably starts with someone like Dirk who has no more bridges to burn.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Escobar just got ejected in the Rays game.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 He comes off as cheap though. In his books he said he would stay at the shittiest hotels to bank the stipend. He's written a lot of books with the intent to make money, not just for the love of "writing". Everyone's got to eat. I'd sacrifice staying in a nice hotel if I could bank the leftover funds too, every time. And there are way easier ways to make money than writing, which is difficult (though probably easier for a professional athlete to get into sports autobios given the perceived intelligence of the average ballplayer).
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Dodgers just did a live announcement at the stadium that Scully is coming back to call one more year for the team. I wonder if he knew it was coming. Cute.

I remember Angelos getting his undies bunched ever since the talk of the Expos moving to DC started.

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Nice to hear. He'll likely do it until he dies or gets too ill to continue doing Dodgers games. Saying that Vin Scully will die is blasphemy and simply disgraceful.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 jpa 4 for 4 with 2 homers.....making it interesting against the yanks.... And 7 RBIs.. he's single-handedly trying to get the Rangers back in the game. Oh, and Betances is showing signs of running out of gas as well..
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Former Jays are going off.... JPA is 4-4 2 Hrs and 7 RBIs Snider has 3 Hrs in last 3 games
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Saying that Vin Scully will die is blasphemy and simply disgraceful. Sorry about that. BTW, Scully's gonna be 88 next year. TBH, he could go for at least 1-2 more years.. Hey, Don Pardo of SNL is still going at 96...
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 f***ing manny Dang Machado.. why can't we gain ground? Angels sure blew an opportunity to gain ground.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Would you guys say JPA has been more valuable to the Jays in a Texas uniform rather than in a Jays uniform? Can anyone adjust his WAR for him crushing the Yankees?
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Dang Machado.. why can't we gain ground? Angels sure blew an opportunity to gain ground. Yup, and to compound it all the A's score six in the ninth to take the lead over Houston.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yanks lead down to 1....12 to 11....rios up with 2 out and runners on first and second....for f*** sakes....help the jays out for once Alex!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Tyson Ross is filthy...just struck out the side against the Cards in the 6th!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I always thought Hayhurst stretched stories because of how detailed he was on things that happened a very long time ago and to make it sound better for his writing. I still think those sexual acts happened but it wasn't as bad as he made it sound. I don't think the videotape part really happened the way he said it did. I would think that at least one of the victims would speak out about this if it was truly this bad. Still, what he described in his article is awful and should never happen.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hey Wilko, you might enjoy this! (watch with full sound and HD) That's f***ing awesome! A single teardrop rolled down my face watching it.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 http://i.imgur.com/HZ45eBL.png Dirk Hayhurst responds to Alexis' article. Wow that is a pretty big thing to accuse someone if it is not the truth. I wonder how Hayhurst found out who her sources were? If she told him, that takes pretty big balls for him to say that as it portrays her story negatively and questions her sources.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Did he delete the tweet? Can't seem to find it when I look at his twitter page.
