labadee Verified Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Change in Yanks plans: Bryan HochVerified account @BryanHoch Chris Capuano will start for the Yankees tomorrow. Greene starts on Sunday, Whitley back to the bullpen. So the change means: Buehrle (4.51 SIERA) vs. Kuroda (3.91 SIERA) Hutchison (3.94 SIERA) vs. Capuano (3.91 SIERA but in relief) JA Happ (4.30 SIERA) vs. Greene (3.14 SIERA in 19.1 IP) Still question why Capuano was picked up by the Yanks.. as a flyball pitcher, he risks being lit up hard at Yankee Stadium. i wouldn't mind that

Sorrow Verified Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 You don't like the soul patch on the back of his head? Everytime I see it I want to shave it off. Frankly a soul patch on the face by itself brings about the same feeling.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Maybe Dmitri can show his brother the diet and how to hit a baseball. Selfish ass
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 So, apparently the Cubbies demoted Neil Ramirez (their best reliever) because they want to manage his workload, at least so says the Yahoo note? (he's at 35 innings between AAA and MLB). Anyone else think they just might have their eyes on that #1 draft pick next year?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 BlueJays scouting Rockies Outfielder Brandon Barnes. 28 year old who strikes out at a 30% clip, with no power, in a huge hitters park. MUST SEND PRO SCOUTS!

They'll start winning, why not go for one last high pick.

Justin Hooper, Mike Mantuella and Mike Nikorak are all disgusting.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Is there a clear #1 pick next year worth tanking for? Too early to tell I suppose.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Is there a clear #1 pick next year worth tanking for? Too early to tell I suppose. There are like 4 guys that could be #1 in any given year imo
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Mike Matuella, Justin Hooper, Daz Cameron Nikorak will go pretty high too won't he? 97 with decent mechanics
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 But as usual, it's not like the NBA where the #1 guy sometimes is an obvious franchise changer and 2-5 are like 2-3 rungs lower.

Well there are guys like that sometimes in the MLB. But it's a lot like this year's NBA Draft. Probably not a legit franchise changer but a lot of guys at the top that could be huge contributors.
