Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Dan Shulman just said that the World Cup is "arguably" the biggest sporting event in the world. Good think Kruk proceeded to "out-ignorant" him right after by not knowing or caring where Ghana is.

It's AMERICAN!"
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Machado the most hated player in baseball right now? Bush league

admin Site Manager Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Pretty interesting video with Machado http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/6479266/v33566833/oakbal-norris-on-getting-hit-on-head-with-bat-twice I wonder if he was trying to throw his bat at the pitcher at the end
flafson Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 The throw of the bat was pretty obvious intentional. The bat to the head didn't look intentional but he was smiling afterwards so it might have been intentional.

His body language indicated that he wasn't making a secret about his intentions. It's a shame that a guy who's so much fun to watch play act like such a manchild.

Jonah Keri debates the Boston Globe’s Bob Ryan on the virtues of advanced stats, and on the Red Sox’s season. Usually the anti-advanced stats guys are represented by meatballs like Hawk Harrelson. Bob Ryan is as sharp as they come.

I am a big Bob Ryan fan, but he had the same type of conversation with Bobcat a few weeks ago and I just don't believe any of these broadcasters when they say 'I understand these new stats, but...". I'll have to listen to this one.

admin Site Manager Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 I don't know about y'all, but I'd gladly give up Stro + Sanchez and Gose for Sale He's under contract for five more years at an average of $10.5M. He would cost a ton.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Mariners playing well lately Can't help but think a three way trade with Rasmus going to SEA could work. I was reading a board of theirs, and they are wanting a new CF. Not sure who a third team could be. NYM with Niese perhaps?
