The throw of the bat was pretty obvious intentional. The bat to the head didn't look intentional but he was smiling afterwards so it might have been intentional.

The Orioles' announcers were pointing out a few things that made a lot of sense, Machado threw the bat after the ball passed the strike zone and stared down the pitcher after he threw it. His body language indicated that he wasn't making a secret about his intentions.

 

It's a shame that a guy who's so much fun to watch play act like such a manchild.

Never seen much of this series but after he "got tagged too hard" and threw his helmet now this i am really not sure what to make of this kid.

Usually the anti-advanced stats guys are represented by meatballs like Hawk Harrelson. Bob Ryan is as sharp as they come.

 

I am a big Bob Ryan fan, but he had the same type of conversation with Bobcat a few weeks ago and I just don't believe any of these broadcasters when they say 'I understand these new stats, but...". I'll have to listen to this one.

Can't help but think a three way trade with Rasmus going to SEA could work. I was reading a board of theirs, and they are wanting a new CF. Not sure who a third team could be. NYM with Niese perhaps?
