Crazy, Adam Loewn pitched in A+ Philly yesterday. 6IP 4H 2BB 5SO. Guess he gave up as making it as a hitter and will pitch till his arm falls off.

Wonder why he didn't come back here to do that.

I thought he had decent numbers as a pitcher. But he wasn't even good.

 

It was more to do with his elbow pretty much being destroyed.

 

But this was before the Delabar program.

He's not far off. 3 war so far. That's with average defense and bad baserunning.

 

On the whole, sure. He's definitely in the conversation. Complete monster with that bat.

 

But I think the article is referring specifically to his defense. As in Mattingly thinks he's the top defensive RF in the game.

Sports' Jeff Passan notes that the condition does not bode well for Ventura's future, as it can lead to "cartilage damage, arthritis and bone chips," as well as "instability that leaves (the) UCL prone (to damage)." So, while an MRI has revealed that Ventura has no structural damage, it sounds like he's definitely not out of the woods yet. Royals general manager Dayton Moore told MLB Network Tuesday that he expects Ventura to miss just one start, but this could wind up being a long-term issue.
