jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Bet Boston is thinking about Stanton as soon as the Marlins decide to trade him, since they have a top system.. but it's still a ways off with Victorino there for another 2 years.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 As much as the Jays are struggling, most of the AL East is struggling. Outside of the Yankees, everyone is within a game of each other, all with negative run differentials. There's no real runaway team in the AL right now outside of Oakland. All the strong competition is in the NL East and NL West, and Milwaukee(they're 6.5 up on St. Louis right now!)

For sure So I'm hoping that AA is doing Billy-Beane style watching and tweaking mid season. (looks like Beane doesn't have to this year LOL)

It's strange to see the entire AL East with -ve run differentials and the division collectively under .500, and it's almost May.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 He's also saved 4.5 runs with his framing. It won't be a bad deal as long as he stays behind the plate. Maybe but I'm sure the Yankees were expecting quite a bit more with the stick. It is early, we'll see.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 f*** man, you're smart. Delete this post ASAP. Huh. Only 5 games but walks up, K's way down. I doubt the Mets are worried yet though. Still, makes me so happy we kept Stroman at least.

Then again he's not 22 yet. 21 + first taste of AAA + only 25 innings + PCL + all but 5 innings have been pitched in Vegas I'm not concerned. Bautista has some moments like that. I remember he was brushed back twice in at bat then hit a dinger. I also remember him getting some bad strike calls then coming back and hitting a dinger. He's clutch.
