jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 If that's not bad enough, the Yanks got the benefit of replay on Ichiro's sacrifice, which turned out to be a base hit.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Happy trails to former Twin and Ray Jason Bartlett. He announced his retirement today. No biggie for the Twins.. he was garbage so far this season, and they have Nunez in AAA.

So typical that his one fantastic season came with the Rays.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 The other Justin Miller(not the deceased former Jay) is making his MLB debut in mop-up duty with the Tigers.. the Angels are thrashing the Tigers 11-1. Luke Putkonen, who relieved a lousy Smyly, put up a terrible line: 2.0 IP, 5 H, 7ER, 2BB, 1 K, 2 HR by Kendrick and Pujols.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 If we had an outfield with those two, we could bring Bautista in to the infield and run with a 5 man infield. Hamilton is a MIFer... (I know they moved him to CF)

I want Tampa to win, as long as the East teams keep beating each other quite evenly, the Jays could sneak to first by the end of the Cleveland series
admin Site Manager Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 JPA's starting chances are gone. Chirinos 3-4 brining his avg up to .240. TDA hitting .143 can't imagine them keeping him up much longer.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Cosart 0.1 IP, 3 His, 4 walks and 7 ER
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Ouch. Especially against a VERY good Oakland team.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 So much for the Rays struggling on offense..Rays lead 9-5 now, as the Yanks bullpen has choked away a lead, led by Adam Warren, David Phelps, and now Cesar Cabral, whose control has been awful, hitting Longoria and Loney. Oh, and Phelps got hurt on a line drive.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Now 3 HBPs.. did Cabral watch Santos last night? And the umpire tossed him for hitting those batters.. expect a suspension to come.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Yankees stronger? Or want Yankees to win? I think the Rays are stronger, but Tanaka pitching like he has can change that. Yankees rotation will hold up much better than the Rays' this year.
