jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Jordan Lyles blowing away the Padres. My goodness. I think any member on here could blow away the Padres pitching in that ballpark lol.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 LOL No. "That roster is a total mess of stars and scrubs." You just described pretty much every major league team out there. I don't know about that. The Yankees sure seem to be stuck with a lot of scrubs for a team with a payroll that high.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Rays can't exactly contend when 3 starters are on the DL for long periods of time (Cobb, Moore, Hellickson) and they're sending out garbage like Cesar Ramos (who is a bullpen arm) and Erik Bedard (hasn't been good since previous injuries). And the offense is horrid (14th in AVG, 12th in runs, 12th in hits). Longoria, Joyce and Zobrist are the only ones hitting. Without a supporting cast, forget it! And Wil Myers is hitting like he needs to get more seasoning in AAA. At this point, even the Jays are looking more attractive than the Rays or even the Red Sox. We haven't even finished Week 3 of the season - its still early. Rays don't look in the best of shape, though I'm not writing them off yet. They need Cobb back soon which is a MUST and Hellickson should be returning. I don't see a problem with Odorizzi, Bedard, Karns at the back end. As for their hitting, Myers could go out and have two games like Lawrie just did and everything looks alright. Is this an opening for the Jays? Most definitely. They need to take advantage when AL East teams are banged up and in rough shape.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Please Name all those scrubs.... I guess tha twould have to be Roberts, Solarte, Johnson which I suppose isn't that bad considered that only two of them would be in the lineup if it wasn't for the Teixeira injury. I guess perception makes it seem worse than it actually is and the pitching rotation is quite solid.

Everytime you breath it feels like you're re-aggravating it.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Tanaka looks like an ace. 28K/2BB is ridiculous. It definitely helps alleviate the fact that Sabathia isn't a front of the rotation starter anymore. That and Pineda looks very good
berenjenareturns Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Soriano, Roberts, Romine, Jeter, Anna, Solarte, Johnson, Ichiro are all about replacement-level. Soriano? really? Soriano put up a 2.9 WAR last year and 3.8 the year before. Jeter? you just lost all your credentials...Jeter is Jeter regardless of his play. Mr Intangibles and is retiring next year. Romine...Romine has been up for a game because Cervelli got injured and is back up catcher. Roberts was a gamble Cashman was willing to take for 2nd base...doesn't even make 2 millions. Solarte? is he playing like a scrub right now? no. We'll talk about when he goes back to earth...A-Rod is suspended. Johnson? So far has the highest WAR of any Yankee and has been really solid throughout his career. Ichiro is a bench player...great base-running and great defender. That would be equivalent of me saying the Jays have a bunch of scrubs.. Diaz, Goins, Navarro, Sierra, Thole, E. Rogers, Happ, Maicer Izturis.
awsomest Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Please Name all those scrubs.... Your right I think the yankees could be the best team in the division now but your a Yankees fan and that's disgusting enough on its own
Smokey Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Lol at BTS for laughing at the Jays for not signing Josh Johnson and declaring Yan Gomes a scrub who could not play baseball.... Lol. More like LOL at you for thinking you're being funny when all you're really doing is shamelessly aligning yourself with a super beta like Tercet. Seriously man, you're a terrible poster and the last thing anyone wants to see here is you embarrassing yourself even further by attacking/trolling someone much smarter.

Is this a King account or a BTS account?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Was about to post a screen cap from MLB at Bat Stick a fork in Valverde. He's done.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Arizona 4-14 Damn Towers has really hurt that club. Wonder if they would trade us Didi Gregorious for some pitching ....
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 D'backs using Reed for the second consecutive day in a non-save situation because they can't get him into games with a lead. Was a good idea; he needed pitch.
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Tommy Hunter shuts the door on the reeling Tampa Bay Rays When does the epic Rays collapse stop? 20 games? 30 games? Tragic! All season. Rays probably sink to last place in a tight division because they lack the budget to fill their holes. Yankees, Red Sox, and even the Jays will likely upgrade before the deadline; Rays might bail once the reality sinks in.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I've got my Rays hoodie on right now. Represent, yo. Please tell me you're not serious. You're too young to cross over.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Can someone tell Ron Washington not to hit Andrus 2nd? It's dumn. 1-Choo great OBP but Avg runner. 2-Andrus good OBP fast as s***. It should be the opposite
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 100% serious This is depressing.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 If you ever see a guy walking around the 'Peg in a Rays hoodie, it's probably me. Make sure you say hi What can I do to change your mind

Ban King (Rays Hoodie), Fatcow (Yunel fetish) and BTS (He masturbated with a Friedman's photo in his hands and thinking about a hybrid between Longo and Lawrie who he called "5 tools sexy 3B with tattoos).
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Once you go Rays, you never go back. But we never really got to know each other. I promise we can have a good time
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Beast mode. Just realized Eovaldi has a 19/1 K/BB, Lincecum 17/1. Tanaka-san 28/2
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I'm a bit annoyed at myself for disregarding Eovaldi all offseason. He's only 23, has legit stuff, and plays in the right park/division. Three digit fastball, Avg secundary stuff, friendly park and...................19/1 K/BB (Ventura-esque)
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Is Springer's game televised? I don't feel like watching a stream lol
