jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Rain is hitting MLB hard tonight, as the Rays/O's joins the postponement parade. Red Sox/White Sox and Jays/Twins are still scheduled to go ahead, as no rain is in the forecast in either Chicago or Minny.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 8-7 Pirates now on a Martin single.
Caper Verified Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Has anybody heard of this? The Brewers drafted Pirates R-Ball pitcher Wei-Chung Wang in the Rule 5 Draft and he made the team in spring training (!!!). He's been with the team, but has yet to make his major league debut. Or how about this the Brewers are walking less then almost any team in baseball..... yet they are rolling.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 It seems like Leake has been pitching for a long time. Only like 4 years
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Rays pitching injuries are really exposing the lack of depth in their system: Peter Gammons: The inordinate strain of losing Cobb, Moore and Hellickson enlightens fact that Rays system is thin. 2010(5 of 1st 79 picks) and 2011(10 of 1rst 60 picks) produced 1 major leaguer(Derek Dietrich, traded for Yunel Escobar), no pitching. Should've traded David Price last offseason.. they are going to regret it if these injuries end up costing them the division.

They tried, Cobb will hurt but I think they will find some replacement level pitching coupled with stellar D to make it work

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Leake with a deep double and a home run tonight, while giving up 2 runs in 6 innings! Doing it all!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Ugh this is so annoying, it seems like EVERY CS is being "argued" aka stalled while the video guys confirm whether or not the manager should challenge.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Lol Ron Washington. Up 2-0, bottom 7, runner at 2nd and he has Moreland bunt him to third.
bzapple Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 So the 4-12 Diamondbacks are losing 9-0 tonight. I hate to declare a team's season over after two weeks but they're already 6.5 games back of the Dodgers...
