BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Do the M's do a Colby for Ackely+ deal? Are we a better team with Ackely at 2b and Gose in CF? Colby is so hot and cold that it would be tough to commit to him long term... he's just so damn fun to watch when he's swinging it. Are we better, Ummm Hell no !

Id take someone a lot better than Ackley for me to move Rasmus though.
S33n Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I think we need to extend Rasmus. Gose is looking more and more like a bust.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I'd really prefer to just QO him. If he accepts, great. If he declines, take the 1st round pick and go get a Gentry/Venable/Lagares/Cain/de Aza/Jay to handle the position in the short term. If the team's budget is $130 million, 5/75 to Rasmsus probably isn't the best idea. Stop thinking free agent signings are going to happen. They arent going to happen
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Now we know why AA refused to even give Josh Johnson a QO. With McGowan and Hutchison off to good starts, that non-deal is looking good. BTW, San Diego hasn't been a good team, being 5-7 and a -9 run differential, only getting a boost from Cashner's strong start.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Check out tonight's Rays lineup: Zobrist 2B Jennings CF Forsythe DH Longoria 3B Myers RF Loney 1B Guyer LF Escobar SS Hanigan C Rays are really struggling to score..

I like the value he can bring on defense, I think there is some upside, and a I feel the market likely undervalues his skillset.

jerb Verified Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Atlanta vs Phillies on TSN2 also Ervin Santana is pitching for the Braves.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Jordan Lyles is pitching for the Rockies tonight at Petco.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Chris Archer is unraveling.. already 4 runs given up in 1.2IP, the last thing the Rays need with a worn out bullpen due to yesterday's nightmare.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 And Archer has been awful tonight. 6 ER in 2.1 IP, with 9 H.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 For the O's... where was this offense vs. the Jays? Are the Rays woes really that bad?
awsomest Verified Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Lol "Wins against replacement" Its a stat that projects a players stats if they played the Astros 162 games a year.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Bomb #10. Yet none belong to Alvarez, that's kinda shocking.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Rays get smoked again. Trouble in paradise?
