The Mariners are still in pursuit of Choo and Napoli has received an offer from a team that Bosten will need to match or beat. That team could very well be the Mariners. Also they are still in on Price as per MLB Trade Rumors. Looks like the West is going to be a dogfight if the Mariners load up.

If they do sign them, They certainly could help us fill our second base hole. Actually I wouldn't mind taking a flier on Smoak either.

All I know is that the emergence of Seattle will make the West that much more competitive and will help prevent a team running away with a WC. The Central might be a sneaky f*** of a division this year for one of thos WC spots.

That will be a solid team for the next 2 years and then they have 75 million commited to three players if they resign Price, Iwakuma probably wont be as effective and Choo/Cano are only going to go downhill

The Rays are going to sell Price to the Mariners for an absolutely massive haul here.

Yeah, this scares the crap out of me (although until that haul starts impacting at the major league level it'll be nice having Price outside the division).

Their farm would also still be pretty solid compared other teams that went all in.. cough

The #Yankees were willing to go to $175 million over 7 years, but last official offer was $160 million. Cano gets cool $80 million more

These multiple threads with one discussing the possible deal then one announcing the real deal are getting annoying

Should I clean up or just leave it??

We should sell some of our players for the Mariners farm.

Dickey would look great back in Seattle in the big park, pitching behind Felix. They want Morrow back? Take him! Edwin and Reyes for some more offence.

Watch Cano immediately morph into a 2-WAR guy now that he's signed his last contract.

Mariners To Sign Robinson Cano

By Steve Adams [December 6, 2013 at 12:34pm CST]

12:34pm: For what it's worth, the Mariners have released the following statement: “We are not able to confirm any news regarding Robinson Cano at this time. If and when an agreement is completed and finalized, we will announce.”

It's early (stupid early) but I predict:

1. Oakland

2. Seattle

3. Texas

4. LAA

5. Houston

That is not a bad division, and Houston will atually be decent in a couple of years

Yeah. The A's will win the west I think, but at least it's more competitive. The ALE will be a dogfight and all teams could end up over .500. Wouldn't be surprised if no WC came from the East in 2014.

At least there is a team (Angels) that has a dimmer future than us.

We're not even remotely as bad as them and the Pujols contract.

Fielder's a vegitarian ain't he?

Yup. The funny thing is, being a vegetarian can be even worse for you if all you eat is fried foods.

Do we really have any bad contracts? Maybe Reyes', but his is only for 5 more years. That Pujols contract is going to look bad, maybe even worse then A-rods.
