Steamer is much better for pitchers. I believe Oliver is a relatively simple 3 year weighted average, whereas Steamer uses velo and handedness and more DIPSy BABIPy regression stuffs.

Without counting Mauer, Montero, or the Rays (Hanigan hasn't been added) average team C projection is 3.9 fWAR. The Jays and their 3.4 projection are actually 21st. 22nd once Hanigan is added to TB.

 

I wonder if this just has something to do with there being a weird and very low baseline for catchers. You have a handful who are good and a large pool of interchangeable guys from which includes most of the starters.

I didn't mind some of CHP's views about certain things such as ownership willing to help this club moving forward, and it isn't all doom and gloom, but stating it as fact is wrong while pulling others POV into it and starting unnecessary fights were dumn.
