Sierra doesn't have the mental capacity to be a DH let alone an infielder. Guy can barely chew gum and walk at the same time.

The Blue Jays would like to see if he takes enough to the position to become an option there on occasion with his power right-handed bat. Sierra is out of options and won’t likely clear waivers, so the Blue Jays are trying to make him as versatile as possible. He and Anthony Gose provide inexpensive options for a fourth outfielder next year.

If Sierra could play 1B/LF/RF and could also be a cheap platoon option for Lind as long as they spend money on catching and some starters.

 

He's got some nice bat speed but he's pretty much a hacker who got hot for a few weeks last year and nothing more.

I think the Jays know Sierra has a lot of potential, whether they can get it all out is the question. THey probably don't want to let him walk and he turns into something. Especially with the state this s***** FO is in right now, that would probably be the last straw.

Nah, not my thing. This early in the offseason, I could probably throw darts at a dartboard and be just as accurate as putting thought into it.
