No f***ing way. Our payroll is full of garbage, little room to operate (Buehrle, Romero, Reyes?)

Maybe he'll be involved in the talks, but not as a serious suitor. Colorado doesn't have a desperate need to move him so it should take a king's ransom. The Cardinals can afford that, but we simply don't have the pieces or need.

 

Cards and/or Red Sox could overpaid for him.

The Giants have also been linked recently to free agent starters Ervin Santana, Ubaldo Jimenez and Bronson Arroyo. Garza, a 29-year-old native of Northern California, posted a steady 3.82 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 136/42 K/BB ratio in 155 1/3 innings this summer between the Cubs and Rangers. The Giants are looking to add two starting pitchers this offseason to complement Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum.

Even more than that I'd say it's a good thing. Any rumors we hear involving the Jays at this stage are probably bogus. No rumors leaked probably speaks more to AA being busy than anything.

Yes better but I,m not convinced Goins is in AAA this year and after last years DL disaster I want some AAA depth. Plus a strong team in Buffalo keeps them happy and I don,t want to wind up back in frigging Vegas.

I do not want Bartlett as an injury call up. He has not played baseball since 2012 and he was horribly bad. But just for AAA SS it's okay I guess.
