Braves: The Braves have taken the season series vs. all the other NL Postseason teams, going 5-2 against the Dodgers this year and 4-3 each against the Cardinals, Reds and Pirates. Like Colby Rasmus last year, Jason Heyward has found a spot in the lineup that he preforms his best in. Hitting in the leadoff spot, Heyward has compiled a .322 average with six home runs and 16 RBIs in 118 at-bats. He hit .223 with eight home runs and 22 RBIs in 264 at-bats anywhere else in the lineup. When Heyward hits at the top, the Braves are 23-7 Freeman's 108 RBIs marks the first time a Braves batter reaching 100+ RBI since Chipper Jones and Jeff Francoeur did it in 2007 The Braves are a MLB-best 56-25 at home, including going 25-10 in their final 35 home games of the year Dodgers: The Dodgers are victims to the injury bug. With Kemp out for the remainder of the season, Eithier still unable to round the bases, Hanley Ramirez unable to start back-to-back games for 3 weeks because of back soreness and Yasiel Puig who was limited to pinch hitting roles after fouling a ball off his leg on Friday, it's safe to say it's already an uphill battle for the Dodgers for the rest of the Postseason. G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Wow, Burnett laying an egg here tonight...
Jays Verified Member Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Poor managing that Burnett is still in this game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Poor managing that Burnett is still in this game. Yeah. When you look this bad this early in such a critical game, you gotta yank him sooner.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Jon Jay scoring like a #TrueCardinal
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 7-0 What a s*** show Jeez Morneau moves like lead at 1B
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 True Cardinals up and down the lineup. Colby Rasmus just didn't fit in with this group. In the wild, a blue jay would tear a cardinal to pieces. So why don't we have the tough gritty players, huh?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Kershaw's and Wainwright's numbers are stupid good, aces by definition. I mean it's baseball and anything could happen but I'd easily bank on games 1 to go to their respective team's way. And Andrelton Simmons, defense god much? 91 wRC+ and still manages to be worth 4.7 WAR, damn.
Jays Verified Member Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 lol at the guy saying you gotta pitch to Ellis with a base open because Kershaw on deck had a lot of RBI's this year.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 it's not easy to be -10 DRS in LF in just 340 innings played. Maybe it's just cause I really don't get Gattis appeal, but no way I'd put him in LF to make sure he gets AB's.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 This is the first time Braves have seen Kershaw the entire season. Huge advantage for him. Plus he's the best starter in baseball. So it could be a massacre.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Radio broadcasters talking about these beast run producers on the Dodgers? Edwin could own all of them.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 So just let McCann go to the Blue Jays! Simple! 20 years later and I STILL hate the Braves We're taking McCann, *******s!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 20 years later and I STILL hate the Braves We're taking McCann, *******s! All your catcher are belong to us, indeed
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Has the been a post season game yet not decided by at least 4-5 runs?!?!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Pirates lose (boo Cards ) And Dodgers win (Take that you filthy Braves!)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 If I'm the Braves why would I let McCann go? I say he either stays with the Braves. Or Yankees, Red Sox, or Dodgers overpay for him. Salty is a free agent for Boston. And Yankees and Dodgers both need an upgrade at catcher. Braves have depth at Catcher but McCann is a top 5 catcher and from the area. He's only leaving if they get seriously outbid, or if he decides he wants a change of scenery He's likely still with Atlanta next year
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't think there's even been a lead change yet either lol. Every game has gradually crawled to a conclusion. Boring, boring games Oh well, lots of baseball still to be played I just hope the WS isn't a sleeper again this year
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 First round of the playoffs is always boring. One team always seems to dominate the other. Braves are completely over matched by the Dodgers. Well I wouldn't say that. Last year all first round series went the distance.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
